I love Toshiro Mifune, just been watching the Shogun epic. Such a fantastic actor. He definately makes a fantastic Toranaga-sama!

he is one of my all time favourite actors wonderful face great personality

I liked him in hell in the pacific with lee marvin , both actors served in world war two lee marvin I think was a us marine sniper I know he was shot in the behind , and mifune was a pilot in japanese airforce .

The film is about too men during world war two one japanese one american trying to kill each other on a island then they get together to get off the island become sort of friends and then return get back to the war .

I was watching the making of Shogun a couple of days ago and they were talking about Mifune. They said nobody would go near him when he put his "Toranaga" costume on because he would go so far into character.
He is truly fantastic.

yep he was great in shogan but cant think of anything ive seen him in where is star quality didnt shine out

Seen him in Kurosawa's "Rashomon" though, great actor and film:)

I have Seven Samurai and Yojimbo, I had no idea he had done so much. He's a truly fine actor, his performance in Seven Samurai is just wonderful.
