What kind of TV can you get? Freeview, multichannel megachoice, or just channels 1 to 4, with five if the wind blows the right way?
What channels do you actually watch?

I have NTL Digital, only the family pack, no movies and sport etc
I got it cheap with a 3 in 1 deal, phone, net and tv etc
I like UKGold and stuff like that

I have a £30 freeview box jobby from Asda:eek: Can't be doing with cable tv, too many channels! I suppose the digital channels I watch most often are BBC4 and More4, BBC3 sometimes. I've blocked out all the shopping channels:D

i have freeview and top-up tv.
would have got sky but a damn tree blocked the aerial signal, and £100 is too expensive to put it on the roof.

Got Telewest - everything but the movie channels cause my hubby obsessively collects DVDs and if it's on the movie channels we probably already own it.
I usually watch UKTVGold, Discovery, Discovery Realtime, Hallmark, and Paramount Comedy.
Topuptv Anytime has been delayed until after Christmas due to manufacturar. Source available upon request.
I have Freeview. A Wharfedale box which cost forty quid. It is absolutely brilliant. Fast, uptodate and has a clock that is set automatically by radio. So it is a radio clock. i can set five events and this can be done easily. I can set favourites list, rename channels and delete the Nazi pay channels like Topuptv and the shopping channels aswell as shitanta.

my story
At one point I had Sky. I even had NTL. I had it all. Infact when I was with NTL, I ended up subscribing to everything I could get.Even NASN.
NTL got dumped for lack of interactive services in my area and the boxes always got messed up.
Sky were better but then i realised I didn't really watch that many programmes from Sky and it was costing thirty pound a month! I decided on Freeview. I made a fifty pound investment, an aerial and set top box and have never reconsidered. Even topuptv Anytime seems a waste of time. Actually I wouldn't be able to afford it if I chose to subscribe. at nearly three hundred pounds for box, with card and one months viewing plus connection fee. And for what, a few hours a week?

Sky caught the lady outside Safeways one day and signed her up. She'll often have a movie to watch, I enjoy coverage of the football and cricket, the kids like kids tv.
i have telewest, we have the top supreem package but with out the pay for sport & movie chanels. i enjoy having telewest but if we move i'm going to have sky instead because telewest isnt available in all areas. i went with telewest because they did the phone, tv & internet where as sky only did tv, but now they do the internet. i watch too many of the chanels to list here.
Freeview is much better. Back in its early days, i didn't blame anybody who subscribed to Titsuptv or sky/telewest etc. Now freeview has filmfour, five us, five life and a total of upto forty free channels. Go interactive now on any bbc channel and see Electric proms 06. interactive:)
