Is anyone else a big Lost fan? Who's your favourite character? I think it's the best thing that's been on television in a long time. I love the disperate cast of characters and how they've been developed. I love the intricately woven plot lines. At times there are a few too many twists, and it can get a bit drawn out, but I'm still hooked. When Golding wrote Lord of the Flies, as a sort of a darker shade to the playful innocence of Coral Island, I thought there was nothing else that you could do to make a group of people stranded on a deserted island any more original. But Lost has proved me wrong.

I LOVE IT TO PIECES!!! Every week I wait for 'Lost Day' - we get it a day later here in Wales!! I'm a big fan of Charlie - don't know why they mad him go a bit crazy for a bit! ANd I love Hurley!!! And Saiid! I dislike Jack and Kate lots - grrr! Jack is too pretty and Kate is just annoying - her arms also scare me cos of all that muscle!!!! Anyway.. I love it so and have you noticed even when telling you what will be happening in the next episode they still refrain from giving anything away? Oh its so juicy!!! Oooooo!! I love it!

I too will call out for no spoilers!!! I shall most definitly cry too!!!

Sayid's one of the most interesting character, very cool backstory, through tragically underused on the island. Sawyer's also pretty cool, definitely the funniest character. Jack's ok, but too normal for the leading role. Kate's wicked, she's fit as. Best character has to be Locke though. He's not as good as he was in the first series, I liked it when you knew less about him and he was a lot weirder, and Eko seems to be taking over that side of things a bit, but Locke's still the best....

I don't like Locke.. he annoys me to tears! Gosh! I agree he was pretty cool but not so much anymore!!! Eko on the other hand is wicked!!! Ahhhh so clever!!!

Did you see the actor who plays Eko on Richard and Judy? I'm not going to say his name, it's silly and unpronounceable. I was shocked to find that he was a brash cockney! Very different from his soft, musically spoken character....

The other reason I like John Locke is that he's named after the social contract philosopher. They've done that sort of thing a lot. There's a Rousseu in there, and a (Desmond) David Hume....

Also, I liked Locke for what he represented as opposed to Jack. The conflict and balance between faith and science. I'm a man of science, like Jack. I have no faith, I like to doubt and prove and reason, I can't take anything on faith. The scientific position is just more rational. But on the island, it's almost like it's not faith, there really are supernatural things going on, which science can't explain. That makes Locke's position the more tenable one, and Jack's the less rational - a role reversal for science and faith in the real world....

Yeah that is a valid point! And good reasons! Also Jack and Kate are like the Adam and Eve of the island! They are both so 'pretty'! Ooo they all still annoy me slightly!

I like most of the characters, they create every aspect of the show. The island is just a place of animity where they can shed their old skins and attempt to be what they want.

My favorite character is Sawyer. He's going to fuck everyone over soon.

oohh i love lost its the only programme on tv that i have been able to obsess over like this in years!!!!

it askes soo many questions & just when you think its answered one for you it makes you ask 3 more.

i really cant wait for it to come back on tv, i dont really want to watch any from the us before it starts on tv because thats all part of the excitement of it i think. altho the rumer is that its going to be a long wait, starting somewhere between feb 07 & apr 07!

In the US they're showing a 6 part mini arc, then having a long break, and coming back for the rest of series 3 around February. I think I'll watch the first 6 episodes as they come out, then wait till February for the rest of the series in Britain....
