Anythin, I use the 5 minute rule. Tha trick is, after ya drop the food, ya gotta say "It's still good, it's still good.", and it'll be edible.

not bad, but you are going to have to be more specific in respect of the "cheese, sometimes"

Well, there are different types of cheese. Like pre-shredded cheese, hand-shredded, melted hand/pre-shredded, cold melted shredded, block sliced, deli style pre-sliced, and cubes. Now if you say, dropped a cube, it's all good. But if you dropped something with melted shredded cheese, like pizza or eggs with cheese or a chunk of melted cheese, you would have to toss it. Also, if the floor is nasty, and the cheese is warm, it should always be tossed. You gotta watch out for that warm cheese.

Then there's the 5 day rule; if you haven't eaten in 5 days it doesn't matter what dropped, how long it's been sitting there, or what it landed in.

its like when I drop it, I can never find it. It will fall right in front of me, and when I look down to see it, its like it totally dissapeared. I could look for hours and never find it..

the nastiest thing I ever saw some pick up and eat?. some dumb ass set down his hot dog on top of a urinall, did his buisness, then picked up and started eating it.the dude didnt even bother to wash his hands. And this was stadium washroom, so who knows how many thousands of people used that urinal.

blahhhhh

Glad to see someone else likes one of my fav Simpsons episodes... I use the "It doesnt look too bad rule" and if it does "A little water will fix that." I once ate a gobstopper we found behind the TV while moving. It was good

that is an excellent point. also applies if it has a hair stuck to it, eg. if its your own hair its cool but if it's not then eurgh.

also if it has shiny, plastiky paper stuck to it then this is fine but not soft paper...oh no.

It's not WHAT you drop, it's WHERE you drop it. Bathroom floor - no way. Any kind of carpet - no. Kitchen floor - yes. The pavement is supposedly the best (most hygienic) place to drop food. Far more helathy than dropping it in your house.

Moral of the story - eat outside.

so one time on dead tour..... i saw this kid dropped his goo ball in the mud on shakedown, he didn't even pick it up, just crouched down and ate it off the ground. he seemed hippily oblivious to everyone.

..................well , why waste time picking it up with your hands....you only have 5 seconds. Other then that is gone.

I eat food I've dropped on the floor a lot. Even when it was in the school cafeteria...I've ate some pretty nasty stuff. My friends used to even make deals with me. I got shitloads of money for eating gross things. lol

You all should give it a try.....:p :D http://www.hipforums.com/forums/images/icons/newicons/icon5.gif

Does toast ever land butter side up? Everytime I drop a piece, the butter side is down :D
I do the 5 second rule in my own house as long as it's not something "sticky".

BradinTheGreat
09-05-2005, 08:34 AM
I won't eat anything that's sticky off the ground. Anything else I just inspect, then I'll either eat it, give it to someone else to eat (assuming they didn't know it was dropped), or I'll throw it out.
