This is my first year in fleming, in lindsay, and i love it. its the best school in north america for environmental programs. the school is sooooo environmentally sound, its awesome. you made a good choice, trust me. if youre as passionate about the environment as i am, you'll love it here. the first semester is sooo cool too, you learn about a lot of great stuff, and its not very hard. the professors are so cool, theyre all down to earth and very approachable. if you want to know anything else, just ask me, i'll do my best to answer it for ya. Peace.

oh wow, I thaught this topic would never see the light of day again, groovy

ya, me thinks there are a few questions to be asked

First off I've been out of the academic scene for about 3 years now, been travelling, doing seasonal work, volunteer internships, stuff like that. So at the ripe age of 20 (I'll be 21 by the time I start there) I've quickly become rather autonomous and have lost interest in the "HEY LET'S GET SMASHED" party mentality and more so about the puffin on a spliff and getting all intelectual-like type mentality, haha, jokes. So I'm just wondering if rez would be a good option for me or not cause I know it's the best way to intigrate into the social scene of the college. I'm just afraid I'll be surounded by a bunch of drunkin minors who will re-currupt me or just drive me nuts and distract me from my studies. If I do instead choose to get my own aparment off campus or whatever will I find myself isolated? How accomidating is the campus cafeteria for diertary needs and stuff? Are hot plates and mini fridges a no no for rez? or are there any shared kitchens in rez?

So ya, what's the general vibe like on rez? What type of folks? Are there a lot of mature students or is it mostly the youngins fresh from highschool? How easy is it to find decent part time work in Lindsy or on campus? What's the student political/activist scene like? Outdoorsy type clubs?

Uh, ya, I think that about does it for questions, hope I don't sound too naive or pretentious, haha. I'm sure all that should keep you busy for a while, share any other tips or pointers you think might be of use, I've been real bussy as of late and am just now starting to consider all the details so help would be apreciated.

thanks in advance

peace
