Shogun

My stepdad just bought me the entire television series of Shogun on DVD. It's beautiful :) 9 hours of feudal action along with the extra special features.
Was anyone into this programme when it first came out or any other James Clavell screen features (The noble house, King rat etc) ?

I still haven't seen this yet.The book was fantastic and I'd love to sit down and do a 9 hour marathon.

I agree, it was a truly fantastic book. I've been reading the entire Asian Saga by Clavell. He has become one of my favourite authors and not a bad screen writer either...
