4 days ago I posted a rant-article on a fanfiction site. I was basically mocking fanfiction writers who take it waaaaaay to seriously and make life miserable for other writers by being such jerks.ie: Leaving rude and condescending concrits, making websites devoted to ripping other people's stories apart...ok..and the article was a bit childish and mean...but the Otter was in a childish and mean mood when she wrote it.

all you of you guys know that I can rant, and most take it with a grain of salt and move on with your lives..after all, I'm just a name in cyberspace..no one important...no one that can actually effect your outside lives.

well....these "no-lifers" are still complaining about me 4 days later and know have resorted to using my net handles and email address to cause trouble.


I recieved an email..just now from a rabid fan of some singer...accosting me for leaving a horrible and mean message on a petition for the songwriter.

I've never even heard of the lady!!!!!!!!!

So I emailed back...briefly explaining what I did and what probably happened and that I was willing to cooperate in any way possible to clear my name.

What the fuck is wrong with people??? and they claim to be more mature adults then me???

what is this?? the fanfiction mafia???

And I write fanfiction. But it's just fun for me and as long as it's legible,it's fine.

I agree, fanfic writers take their shit too seriously. I mean it's like they think they're these great writers, well if you're so great then fucking think of your own characters and setting and plot etc etc. I'm not saying that your fanfics are shitty, but 80% of the ones I've seen out there are shitty. That sucks those losers hacked your account though.

I'm the first to admit, my stories are mediochre at best.



But I'm not trying to win a Pulitzer...I write just for fun and as a way to vent a plot-bunny.



Today though, I did recieve some wonderful and kind emails from people who actually agreed with rant-column...they were happy to know that they werent alone in their aggrevation. And they were thrilled that someone was finally willing to stand up to the fanfiction snobs.



So I'm glad some good did come of it.

harassed by fanfiction people... watch out honey, nerds can be freaking vicious, make sure you didn't post your state or anything, you already know those people have way too much free time.

KC, fanfiction is the degree of nerdiness you hit when you write your own plots to episodes of star trek and such. What if Kirk married Spok? What if Klingons were all really ladies? Who's the father of scotty's baby? Fans would be forever doomed not knowing the answers to all these plot holes. *sigh*
