Here's a thread dedicated to NFL news. Post the scores for last night games, talk about player trades an injuries. If it's news, it's welcome here.
To start with:
Lee Suggs trade was declined as the Jets ruled him unhealthy to play.
Junior Seau un-retires after 4 days to sign with the Patriots.
Clinton Portis out for the rest of pre-season and possibly the beginning of the season with a partially dislocated shoulder.

Yeah, I saw that Jerry Rice bit yesterday. That's cool that they're doing that. Hell, they never should've traded him to begin with.

Ashley Lelie is now the number 3 wide receiver for the Falcons. TJ Duckett, formerly of the Falcons is now, I believe, the number 1 back for the Washington Redskins, and the Denver Broncos in turn got Washingtons 3rd round draft pick for the 2007 draft.

News of the fucking seasons guys. Deion Branch now #1 receiver for the Seattle Seahawks.
I'm guessing they saw their window closing on their Superbowl dreams and felt this would give them the missing link.

i'm sad to see him go from the Pats :(
but i saw it coming, he's not the type of player to sit out of part of a season

Shaun Alexander is out for a while due to a broken foot. This may prove to be somewhat devastating.
Atlanta Falcons signed Morten Anderson. The second oldest player in NFL history. Morten -fucking- Anderson? I mean.... Koenen missed that 40 yarder, but to stoop as low as Morten Anderson? Wow....

Yeah I mean that's really not a good deal. Seahawks are in the same position as the Colts. It's Super Bowl or bust time. Seattle's not getting any younger, and the Colts have almost completely depleted every bit of their cap room for the next half a dozen years. If they try to secure Dwight Freeny at the end of this year they can kiss goodbye picking up any more top players.
Sorry to say it, but they're wasting their money on Peyton. The money they're paying him could be used in a far smarter manner.

Atlanta Falcons destroyed the Cardinals. 32-10. 3-1 boys and girls. If memory serves me correctly critics, during preseason, said the first 4 games would either make or break the Falcons. Lets see where it goes from here.

Well that's good. Have you been watching a variety of games or just hometown games? Decided which team is going to be your team?

well, clearly, since cowher is my main man, i'm a steelers fan.
but yeah, i've been trying to watch a variety of games. unfortunately dave has to play the interesting points in slo-mo for me to understand what's going on still. however, the instances of him having to tell me who has the ball are fewer and farther between...
