Wholesale Crafts?

Well I just landed a wonderful almost-full-time job with an awesome jeweler who is going to train me more not only in jewelery making but also the business end of the craft show scene, even though she and I are working different markets. Right now I'm doing mainly hemp macrame jewelery, I also make reconstructed garments, and altered candy tin stash boxes.

Winter is coming, meaning fewer vending opporunities, and work and training may keep me quite busy. I m considering selling wholesale bundles of necklaces either on ebay or similar sites, and to local shops and whoever else will buy them.

Are their crafters here who have experience selling their product wholesale? Or anyone who has purchased crafts wholesale for their business? What do I need to know about selling wholesale crafts? What do I need to know about buying wholesale, when the time comes to expand my own vending business?

I'm currently starting selling on ebay, everything from knitting supplies to what I've made. It's a bit of a slow start (I'm still new) but thanks to the success that ebay has, I'm getting a lot of traffic, which is nice. :)
