For those of you who know me, this will be no surprise:

I consider the piano compositions from Mr. Gurdjieff and his student Mr. De Harmann to be extraordinarily inspiring! BlackBillBlake has already brought this up elsewhere in the hipforums.

Of course, you have no idea of what I am talking about if you haven't heard it.

I suggest that, like G's writing, the more exposures to it, the more you will get out of it.

I can only second this.

I'll just mention 'Sacred Hymns of G.I.Gurdjieff' Kieth Jarrett piano as a very good intro - also Jarrett = one of the top pianists in the world.

This music is perfect for meditation. You don't need to understand or even be aquainted with Gurdjieff's ideas to appreciate it.

It is a unique music - Gurdjieff said that many of the themes, melodies and rythyms came from various places he had visited on his extensive travels in central Asia, Tibet and India.
