Rushes to crash onto the shore

Or onto the rocks




So do my memories

Of you and me




I remember

They invade my mind




Then they crash

Into nothing




Because I want to destroy

These pieces of the past




I think

I confess them to myself

I write them down

I live in them again

I smile

I cry




And then I realize

This past is all gone




Of the great proud angry wave

Of memories of you and me

There is nothing left

Only pieces of water

Which will soon disappear

Colliding with the present

Every drop of them

Dried up by reality




I watch them disappear

In the summer heat

While walking peacefully

On the rocks
