In honor of the most sacred festival of Summer Solstice I'm offering pagan blessings to anyone who wants them. so If you'd like one sign up here and tell me why you think you'd like/need a blessing.

i would like to have continuing mental and spiritual strength... and the physical nerve to take certain steps... all without sucumbing (sp) to negativity and bad waves..

Who died and left ole sam...here the Jeannie in the bottle?About four years ago I got really sick. I had four cases of severe blood clots in my legs. If any of them moved into my heart-brain or lungs I would have passed away. I said Good Bye to my three kids each time too.
During the stage where the Drs. have to stabilize you is the most dangerous part. It is when you are in the worst danger of them moving.
I would pray a lot then and I had a lot of other people praying for my recovery. I could feel them all when I was lying there in the Intensive Care Ward every day. I obviously made it and lead a normal life today.
Was it because of all those people praying for me?
I myself believe so.
Praying for another persons well being is a great thing for anyone to do. It's just what we do for each other. You don't have to believe in her spiritual beliefs to have her send you good thoughts.
When we change the way we look at things. The things we look at change.

Wizarddrew, I channel the goddesses through me I have no choice who answers.
your blessing comes from Mother Mary (I will add we are working with her here as a goddess) she states that you should have faith that your worries will be answered, often one worries so much that one cannot put into place the efforts and actions needed to sort out the situation.
Mother mary like all mother goddesses serves as a reminder that you and yours are being looked after, trust this and believe in this.

i've been a little lost lately, i've been a bit hexed and i'm feeling that my Father is not waiting up for me after telling me i need to get on with my travels. outside of my will, i am stuck here for another month and a half, and can't get over the feeling that my Father might not be waiting up- and soon i will stop hearign his voice (is what it comes down to). might you let him know that i love him with all my heart, let him know that i want to make him proud, and will be on my feet right away* i've been stubborn and not listening to his direction - my purpose, but i simply love him, and from there, do what he wishes.

At first I couldn't understand how this goddess relates to your situation and how she could help as she is the goddess of rest and meditation. however it occured to me what she is trying to say.
she is the gnostic goddess and is thought of as the void or emptiness which all creation springs from.
If you have had children before I guess you may realise that the goddess is blessing this as your queit time or quieter time, a time to prepare before baby springs forth and quiet time becomes rare.
try and make this 'you' time and may the goddess be there during and after the birth of your child.

When I thought I was going to pass on it was all kind of surreal.
The one thing I found was that in the end you do not think about what everyone did to you or what you did to them.
It is more what we do to ourselves.
I thought about the things I did not do for ME.
The things I did not do to love myself or enjoy life.
The times I walked away from being loved and having good things in my own life.
In 20 years you will not regret what you did but what you didn't do.
Also fear of death is our biggest fear.
Now from looking at it in the eyes I am not afraid of what we call death.
Nothing ever really dies it just transforms into something new.

So I have found that I now am not afraid to live.

Embracing God is really just embracing yourself.

Believe it or not, your blessing is actually perfectly appropriate. About two or three months ago the wife and I decided to "let nature decide" whether or not we are to become parents. While we weren't really thinking of it as an invitation to the fertility goddess to come and help us start something new, it is obviously the same idea dressed up in different clothing.

As always, I am appreciative of the pleasant reminder these "meaningful coincidences" provide.

Well, we WERE married on Halloween. The neighborhood kids blessed our outdoor ceremony (Los Angeles weather, you have to love it) with a rousing chorus of "Trick or Teat, Smell my feet, Give us something good to eat." Whether it was a coincidence, a gift from the divine, or both, well, who can say? Maybe it is just one more example of how all things may be true. Of course, now, I can say I know from experience that a healthy bit of child-like levity during a life-altering ceremony is a very good thing.

realise that you are at a frail time at the moment and look after yourself and protect yourself and if you feel upset by something ask yourself is it really so bad or is it just the space you are in?
above all protect yourself, White Tara (a female buddha) will help you with this, but you also should avoid people and situations that may cause you undue stress.
its not all bad!
your heightened sense of awareness that comes with this will mean that you can pick up on feelings about people, places etc that may pass others by, you do have to follow your intuition and not dismiss it however.
I feel that you should ask for another blessing some time in the new year and we will see if your situation has changed then

ohhhhhhhhhhhhh, Aphrodite wishes to send some blessings to you!!!

this greek goddess is all about love! and love is never simple, first of all she suggests that you try and find ways of loving yourself more, try and think of the way you love others and give yourself some of that.
it may sound silly but try and make a list of your good points and spend time reflecting on how basically you are a good person.
other people can't love you if you don't love yourself, also pampering yourself doesn't need to be a female thing, even if its just for a breif time, find some 'you' time daily.
when was the last time you where truely intimate with your partner, I say 'truely' because I don't mean a detached robotic experince when true emotions have been left behind, so call on Aphrodite, get someone to babysit (if you have kids) treat your wife to roses and honour your scared union.
aphrodite is all things love, if love is lacking call on her and she will help.
now is the time to be honest with yourself and your loved ones, have a frank discussion, but make sure you really listen to each other, it may hurt, but it will help to let you live as apposed to exist.

I wondered before I even called to the goddess, why do you need to go through life with something missing, what can you do to fill the gap/ how can you help yourself.
I think another blessing in about 6 mohths time would be benificial if you would like

Ok this is a little odd for me, as I am just coming off of a few years of Christianity.

Samhain I just need a blessing towards my mental health if that's not too selfish of me. It's causing a domino effect in my life and I really really need to get my sassy ass confidence back. The negativity associated with my "depression" is effecting my relationships with my children, my husband, and I've lost a few professional years due to this problem too. I don't want to lose anymore. I want my life back. Thanks Sis.

thats a really lovely thing to say, although I don't believe anyone is truely selfish, I accept the nice compliment anyway.
I think finding ongoing peace in one self is an ongoing journey, sometimes its good to ask the powers that be for help, who ever you believe in, other times its good to wait until your life is less hetic then work on finding peace, peace you can try and keep with you when problems arise again.

your blessing is from the Alaskan goddess of the sea Sedna she asks you to remember that the universe will always provide for you, even if it doesn't always seem that way, during times of stress or unhappiness, sit in a queit place and call to what ever loving energy you belive in, and if your still comfortable with the christian god and Jesus thats fine too.
In paganism water is one of the sacred elements of the goddess, it represents the healing waters of her womb, that which protected all of us before we where born- you see paganism is great, because first and foremost woman and her body will always be sacred!
you can achieve inner peace by going to any body of water and connecting to it, you can swim in it or just dip your hands in it and ask for help, imagine the energy of the water entering you and washing you clean, of cause the goddess also has to be treated with care so do always remember your water safety!
if you like look up Sedna on the net wheres theres water, there she will be looking after you, reminding you that the universe's love is always plentiful.
you can achieve this at home, get into a bath that you put seasalt in and imagine her holding you.

she suggests that deep down inside you know what to do to help you heal, if you feel ungrounded meditation may be the key, sit queitly and focass on Athena ask for her advice, but most of all trust your instincts. Athena is actually a warrior goddess, who has to trust her instincts to stay alive, this is something we dismiss today, but our instincts are still there and in no way less important, its a shame we don't trust them.
if you find that a depressive fit, is a reoccuring problem, it may be useful to go and talk to someone about it, maybe a doctor or health adviser, therapy is another thing that can really get things into focass, and it's only the strong that go, its not a sign of weakness, the weak are never aware they need help, or are afraid to ask for it.
in a nut shell ask Athena to show you the way to your intuition, when you find it, I think you'll find that the words of others will hurt you less

when you feel stressed or doubtful before the exam and after take some time to ask sige for help, if you are at work or with others it need only take a few seconds to ask, if your on your own, sit queitly and ask her to allow your mind (which I think often thinks a little to much) to be still and to rest.
on your exam day ask sige to be with you, days before take a stone and ask that sige be with you everytime you hold the stone, if things become to much in the exam hold the stone for a few seconds and ask for her calmness, you may find you see it in a whole new light.
finally whatever the results are, remember to thank her, a goddess who is appreicated often appears throughout life when one least expects it

sit in a queit place and ask Green Tara for advice, guidence and support- you may be surprised by the outcome.

OK this blessing is for someone that pvt me recently, i don't normally do this, but I have diecided to do a kind of double blessing here.
the first goddess, is one that you can look too for long term advice and help in this situation (Bast) the second one (Isolt) is one you can look to, should you find things are just getting too much, a kind of goddess first aid, that if you have time you can sit queitly and pray too, but if not you can just pray to her in your head asking for support and guidence.

Blessing of Bast there are times when you will feel stronger during these times this Egyptian Cat goddess asks you to reflect about how independant you are as a strong person and how you can return to this again and reclaim it. advice I feel from her are try and find a womans group, meditate on the full moon, get together with female friends and/or girley guys you know and meditate on your inner strengh.
call to Bast and ask her to help you find the answers you seek through your own independance.
if you like cats find some time to spend with them, close your eyes while you stroke them, not only can this be very soothing, it will also help you soak up the bast cat wisdom that this goddess inparts.
ask for feline spirit guide animals to come and protect you and inpart their wisdom, if infact you are not comfortable with cats(and not everyone is) working with them in an animal guide sense is an excellent way to soak up their energy without feeling threatened and of course if you love cats doing all the above will help you hugely.
one of your spirit guides a feline is calling to you now anyway.

Blessing from Isolt this lovely celtic goddess is actually ideal for your situation, pray to her any time you need support, she is all about love, she states that it time for you to have some love back from the universe for all the love you have given unconditionally in your life, call to her when your heart breaks, when you feel that loved ones or friends have let you down, when you feel lonely, ask her to surrond you to encase you and protect you, ask her to full you with love

Do you ever do thank you for blessings? I mean, like if I am realizing the great things I have in life and I want to say thanks, is there a blessing dedicated to that?

good point, what you can do is take note of the goddess's that you worked with on the blessings thread, sit in a queit place and light a candle and say thankyou, I expect this is usually enough, however the oppertunity may arise in the next few days for you to help someone or a cause and you could take this directly from the goddess herself as a message.
you can also say thankyou on the thread itself but do make it very apparant that your thanking the goddess, not me this time!

theres a few things that come to mind with this blessing, Damara is a celtic fertility goddess, her appearence to me, suggests that a career in some kind of child care may be well suited to you, so keep an eye out for jobs or training which involue this, if this is infact a direction you wish to take, putting down on your CV about times when you have babysat children would be postive.

An older adult, who you look up to like a parent (but may not be a parent) will be helpful at this time, take careful note of words of wisdon and advice that they may offer you.

1) the other party in this should almost be treated with kit gloves, you should realise that at the moment she is incapable of acting like a adult, when you weigh up how you need to deal with this, remember its almost like you are dealing with an angry child, how would you deal with one of them?

2) don't get so stressed out by this that you forget about your own inner child, you may put other relationships you have at risk, if you let this, so try and stay focassed and remember you have a lot at stake

3) relationships Damara is a fertility goddess if you don't want children take precautions

Nemetona is a reminder that we don't just have to visit sacred sites to honour the divine and honour the earth, we can do this all the time, every day, with every breath we take and every step we take.
If the earth has meaning to you beyound just being our home, you must take steps now to finding ways of looking after her better.
we each of us must take steps to start to look after the world better, we all should reflect and mediatate on how we can achieve this.
start to recycle
pick up litter in the streets
be more careful on how we use energy
set up a sacred altar at home and pray to the divine daily and ask for support in looking after the earth.

Nemetona name means 'Sacred Grove' because she watched over ancient celtic ceremonial sites, what better goddess to ask us to help us protect our world?
she asks us to remember that the whole world is sacred, remember if you can take steps in the right direction, next time you go to a sacred site, you can start to hold your head up a little higher in the presence of the divine

This Celtic and German fairy goddess states that you should have patience with yourself, when you are getting started with things, don't expect to accomplish everything at once, don't expect to know everything, and be everything to everyone, go easy on yourself.
