The Grateful Dead Movie. In the beginning, its like ten minutes of really trippy animation with a skeleton in space and stuff. The rest is the Dead in concert with the animation spread throughout. Its pretty cool. It shows people tripping and one guy is talking to a cop and the cop wont let him in to see the show. The guy says he has a ticket, but needs to get his space together before he goes in. He then adds, "I just came from a phone call" and walks away. That movie changed my life a little. It's just so awesome.

If your a Pink Floyd fan try watching the Wizard of Oz while listening to the Dark Side of the Moon record, it's supposed to match up with the movie perfectly and it's supposed to be really trippy although I haven't tried it yet so I'm not sure. The Wall is trippy as fuck, too, although I can't tell what the hell is happening even when I'm sober...

Alice in Wonderland is a great movie to watch, after all it was written under the influence of shrooms.:p

Also the Bill and Teds series, any video that is music related (Yellow Submarine, the wall..) My favorite is Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii, check that one out.

I saw Napoleon Dynamite after I ate 31 benedryls(775mg Diphenhydramine HCL) and I laughed my ass off. Not really "psychedelic" but tripped the fuck out, none the less. I was seeing faces the whole time and at one point during the movie I looked toward the kitchen in the house we were at and a tree started to grow down out of the ceiling and the roots spread over the entire room. It was fucked up. The movie basically just added to the experience.

Personally i wouldn't watcha movie during the peak of my trip. Fast paced media spreads your attention so far... unless it was like a recorded concert seen on a big screen or IMAX (if anyone knows what that is). but when i come down i sometimes like to watch a good movie to let my brain wrap around something as it comes back into logical thinking-mode, helps me comedown. So, for the end of the trip i would recomend the movie the Waking Life.

You might have to pause after each scene to think about it. either way, i rarely watch t.v. and i absolutely loved this film... can't describe it but i recomend it for psychedelic minded people, trippin or not.

It's playing at the Fels Planetarium at the Franklin Institute in Philly (and other various places nationwide). I went there with some friends last night, it was basically empty except for us. We layed on our backs on the ground with a blanket instead of tin the seats. Its so intense, i'm not even gonna try to explain it, and such good music. I'm going again tonight, maybe twice, and every weekend until it stops showing. Why are there not tons of you headdie kids in there on a friday and saturday night?! I need to tell everyone about this, not only because it was the best $8 i've ever spent on something, but because its great to support the Franklin Institute. It won't sell out, just show up tonight at 9, 10, 11, or 12 PM. Not only is it trippy psuedo-3D visuals, but the music is designed specifically to ... well I don't know the science mumbo-jumbo, but basically it sends out specific frequencies that react with the brain waves that cause you to dream. first of all, i don't know how anybody can watch requiem for a dream while tripping. that is one of the best movies ever, but let's be honest, it gets wayyy too intense about 3/4 of the way through. my thought process would just go crazy.

also, i was wondering if that's the same for fear and loathing? i watched it stoned and that was fine (it's my new favorite movie), but i feel like shrooming or something similar might end badly with that movie. i feel like watching somebody else have a bad trip (even if it's just in a movie) would make me have a bad trip, too. the parts where benicio gets all crazy with the knife and shit just might not settle well. anyone have any bad experiences watching it shrooming?

If you were to watch a movie. I recommend Fantastic Planet, it's a sci-fi animated movie from the 70's. It's one of my favorite movies ever, it is kinda hard to find. I got to see it because I borrowed it from a cool teacher I had, but I think the whole movie is on youtube. Everyone should check it ouy, even if there's no tripping involved.

Outdoors is always extremely mood stimulating taking the trip to a euphoric journey and I always feel like an explorer hah :) very one with everything. Movies/TV is something that takes away from visuals but gives me a cynical for lack of better terms (maybe stimulated as its not rly mean but objective? ) thought pattern and extremely funny/ mind fuck up the ass as I tend to think of modern morals and normaties This is why i like cartoons or the history channel. movies are to long for most trips and mi mind splits them into various short stories or the plots in my head are very far from what they actually are when I watch the movie at a latter point in time. which is also enjoyable bringing me to my main point of TRIPPING IS AMAZING and most anything is good while tripping I tend to dislike the stereotypical trip movies as they lessen the experience and are just stupid while tripping. I always find weird things or things I would never find myself doing EXTREMELY enjoyable and producing the higher quality trips.

-Mr Magoriums Wonder Imporium (Its like if Willy Wonka owned a toy store instead of a Chocolate Factory, but with more colors and tripper effects! It does get a little sappy at the end though, lol)
-Scanner Darkley (Just go look at some movie captures. The visual effects on real people are awesome, the plot line is completely confusing, and they even throw in a few mind fucks both visually and mentally to keep it all exciting!)

But like many have said... Beyond pretty colors, comedy, and wierd story lines to stimunlate your eyes, humor, and mind... Its all really movie preference. Everything seems to be best if its your first time viewing it, which is ESPECIALLY true with REAL LIFE and NATURE!!! ;)

If your a Pink Floyd fan try watching the Wizard of Oz while listening to the Dark Side of the Moon record, it's supposed to match up with the movie perfectly and it's supposed to be really trippy although I haven't tried it yet so I'm not sure. The Wall is trippy as fuck, too, although I can't tell what the hell is happening even when I'm sober...

Alice in Wonderland is a great movie to watch, after all it was written under the influence of shrooms.:p

If you really want to trip go watch any movie on IMAX, but don't be tripping to hard, you may have a heart attack...;)


you guys need to get your motherfucking facts straight. lewis carroll was on no drugs what so ever when he wrote it. he was teaching mathematics and a college and told a story to the deans child daughter about Alice in Wonderland.
