DXM was one of my favorite drugs at one time. the high i personally got out of it was amazing. then i realized i was taking it everyday and i got kicked outta the house (for other various drugs too).
DXM is very addictive and it was the only drug that i had trouble putting down. thats out of opiates, coke, crystal meth, ect. if you take it, i would suggest chloricedin(spelling) aka triple C's. my trip on ccc's was always awsome but i had a party friend that hated them. word of advice: dont drink alcohol with DXM.
DXM shuts down the liver and reduces the bloodflow to the brain. hella, i thought it was worth it. only reason i quit was because i moved to Maine. there isnt a store that sells em.

i have no idea as to how the addiction works (phsycological/physical). basically i just craved it every night. it was all i thought everyday. i would go out to walmart and steal a few packs of CCC's and take one as soon as i got to my car.
i guess i was really irritated all the time when i quit. i would try to lay in bed to relax but it would make me feel like i was not getting enough air so i would go outside. then i would feel really sick to my stomach. i always had a headache. i would get hungry but when i tried to eat i would get sick to my stomache and couldnt. whenever i would stand up i would get this short loss of vision and balance.
i would guess it was either a psycological addiction, or i damaged something in my body that made me feel like that. i am better now though. sometimes i would like to trip(DXM) again, but i havent in a long time and probably wont.

I love DXM, but you do have to be careful with it. Over-use can have some major psychological problems, and maybe (very maybe) even physical ones. I think every medium to heavy DXM user has that one time it took two weeks to a month to come back to normal after doing too much DXM, so you've got to watch yourself. I've found I've had the most fun on DXM with low dosages (first plateau) and some weed. The higher dosages can be amazing, but really I wouldn't do it often. Stay away from the syrup, the pills are just as good, and don't make you sick on your way up. Make sure you get the pure dex pills, that other stuff can be dangerious. Also I wouldn't do DXM more than once a month. You want to give your brain a chance to heal.

I was in the park when i blacked out and my friend blacked out before me...The next thing i know my friend "wakes me up" or something telling me to give him money for weed... Which then i just reached in my pocket and through my wallet at him (i really didnt care, when im in that state i want to be left alone). Then some time later I puked my guts outs. Also that the same time i can hear my friend saying dont worry his fine (i think) and the kids were freaking out and trying to figure out what i took(that im sure of). So they decide to help me up. Which was weird and then i tryed to tell them on what i took, but failed... 20 mins later they give me my weed. Ten mins later gangstas come our way and they stole my weed, those basterds and i knew they were going to do that...

To answer your question... Its just that i hear alot about people being addicited and ruining there lives... But also its my personnality towards drugs, where i like to leave it alone for "special" occasions. Like for DXM if i want to do some drug and i cant get no other, then my choice is DXM... Also my last experiance I trusted my friend that those(the ones he bought) were safe pills. I read whats in them an i found out, a week later. That i overdosed on acetaminophen (which made my gut feel like shit for like half a week), which were in the pills too...

So yea that why i havent touch them for long time... Really I havent had a huge urge to take drug like that in while...

Most I ever took was 620mg and I must say that was one ridiculous night, the few parts I can remember anyways. That's always the one thing I really didnt like about DXM, you don't remember most of the trip.

Triple C's have become one of my favourite drugs.
I drank the syrup about 4 times when I was between 13-15, while taking presc. pain killers and drinking them down with no more than a shot of whatever liquor I could find at home.... it relaxed me to a point that I have not gotten to again. The drinking with it was completely unecessary though, and Im sure it hurt me.

In I think April of this year, I did it again, but this time I took the ccc's, and went to TRY to buy cigarettes down the street with my friend.
From the minute we left the house and went on our "journey" (which was only the begining to one of the best days Ive had), I remembered how much I loved it!!
Ever since then I haven't over done it I feel.... Ive done it maybe.... 7 more times from April till... June?

Smoking weed with it is a must....
It intensifies it to a whole nother level.
I'd be pointless to try to describe it I feel.... and I could go on forever doing so, so I'll spare an even longer post :-\

The day after though, really makes me feel how much it hurts my body.
I cant eat for 2 days, feel as if Im dead, and in my case, i get really depressed.
Thats how I end up wanting to do it again.
Ive only done it 2 days ina row once... and it killed.
The dreams I had though, were something I will never forget.

I see how so many people are against DXM, but....
those who like it, like it for all diff. reasons...
and the sometimes "lackofmoney/boredom/it'ssoclosebyandeasy" is a reason that's well worth it in my opinion *nod*

Anyways, I love DXM. I usually take around 600 mg of it, and it can be pretty powerful. Something I love about it is that there's no horrible morning after effects like a hangover. Like a previous poster said though, be careful, it can be addictive.

what the hell do you mean its not a trip. in my room one night in the dark I saw my organs float up and dissolve into the wall. i was falling through a tunnel in my head. i was seeing through the floor into nothingness, and i could still see even when my eyes were closed. DURING PEAK- i was so dissociated i sat slumped in a chair for the peak hour not knowing what to do, or where to go. it was soo dsitressing, i can just remember this sort of alien dessert like plain and it was the 'night', and i was there for a period which lasted "for a long time", and it was sooo fucking distressing im shakign thinking about it. i didnt even know i was a human being anymore. i was nothing, for the duration of the night.
i could hardly breath at times, and i was dry heaving. I was to fucked to be worried or concerned, i couldnt even know how to do anything at the time.
Talk about worst experience of my life, anyone have an experience similar to that? plus i still feel really weird from it T+5months...

ok, let me clear some shit up. triple c's is NOT COOL! they are not straight dxm, they are dxm and 2 other drugs... one of which is an antihistamine that can kill you at the doses you take to get high, and if you dont die, what it CAN do is make your fuckin eyes bleed and hurt like hell and send you to the hospital... and give you permanent damage!

DXM is great...although i would HIGHLY ADVISE to do the agent lemon extraction, it makes for a "cleaner" trip. And start off with a second platue, once you get use to that then up your doses to like a 3rd and 4th. I took my time getting into this drug and now really enjoy it. dxm is crazy shit. the disassociation at higher plateaus is tremendous. i've read about quite a lot of people having issues with addiction to the drug, psychological, not physical. personally i don't have the desire to do disassociatives that often. also i hate the hangover effects i have. for about 24 hours after the mental aspects of the drug wear off i continue to experience the physical effects such as no motor coordination, slurred speech, and blurred vision. also in a lil research i was doing recently i read that repeated use can cause olney's lesions (lesions on the brain), so i would definitely make these experiences few and far between.

agreed. i'd also suggest not doing anything otc. buy 400mg pills from suppliers online. they are cheap as shit and your body will thank you for not putting in all of the additives from the cough pills or syrup. i have only done cough pills once because they have destroyed me the next day.

dxm is a VERY environment oriented drug. in the wrong setting it is the WORST drug in the world. in the RIGHT setting it can be an amazing lil trip. respect the substance and your body. be with the right people in the right place, as with any drug.

I like first plateau dxm. 270mg seems to be the sweet spot, upwards of 330mg and it starts to get a lot less fun. I only do dxm on rare occasion because I don't want to do an extraction, and all that syrup is hard on my liver.

If you like dxm, you should try nitrous and ketamine. All disassociatives seem to be great euphoriants, but they are all also addictive. As anyone like myself who has been on a nitrous binge can tell you-- coming back to your body to see that in less than an hour you've littered over $50 of empty 8gram chargers all over the floor. And ketamine, well it just never lasts very long :)

Man, I fucking loved and still loved DXM. Out of all the drugs that I've ever dosed on, thats the one that most appealed to me. First time I took it was around 2001 or 2002 when I was 14 yrs old. I took some Robotussin (the one with pure DXM) and fucked me up within a 30 - 60 min. period. The cough med. I found most interesting is the "Orange boxed" one that tastes similar to candied banana or orange. That med. takes maybe 3-4 hours to hit me and do not ask me as to why it takes that longs if it contains the sames ingredients as Robotussin. Man, did fucking trip for like 8 hours i believe with a nice come down full of "ecstacy".....hangover fucking sucks though,man. I used to go to school fucked up (which i find rather dumb now that im older) and remember dosing on that shit the last day of of high school as a graduating junior getting fucking up on it with some buddies and smoking some budd. I actually remember that day with high details. The only thing that stoped me from further dosing on DXM was that all dissociative(did i spell that correct) is that they burn up your head so bad. I reached DXM on erowid and found that DXM fucks with you short term memory(fucks with it very bad), makes you antisocial, and some other fucked up crap. So im like, fuck that, lol! All in all, a good brain melting brain(literally).

WTF??? i thought.. i touched my face, and in fact it was me looking back but i looked totally different. i looked like id been stung by bees on the face or something. actually nothing like that but my face was inflated. it was hiddeous. this is all true. the flesh around my eyes had inflated so that my eyes looked asian. im not talking 'chinese eyes' like stoned. the actual flesh on my cheeks, under my brow, and surrounding my eye had become totally inflamed.

and i had to go to school. i left quickly so that my mum could not get a good look at me. she asked why my face was so inflamed and i just said i had been stratching my face a lot that night. when i got to school, NO ONE recognised me until they looked me straight in the eye.

everyone was speechless and i really had a hard time explaining how it happened. i just didnt explain it to most people.

then rumours went aorund that i was taking horse tranqs and shit and all the anti-drug people had SWEET fuel.

honestly kids, the results of DXM are totally unpredictable. there is NO explination for this on any dxm resource.

and to answer your questions, it was DXM only, and the only other drug i had taken was a bit of cannabis.

but i thought dxm was worthwhile, i had an amazing experience, it wasnt all enjoyable, some of it sucked balls.

I chugged a bottle of cough syrup, and took a few benadryl with it, was really enjoyable. Although it made me wake up at random times in the night and for some reason I thought there was a phone ringing, and I just picked my hand up and put it against my ear and would go, hello? hello? then realize I was talking to my hand, think I was retarded and go back to sleep. DXM...Overall I like it but I am taking a long break from it. (been a little over a month now) The most I've done was 400mg bottle of Zicam Max, the dissociative effects were cool but throughout the trip I kept getting these episodes where I either felt like I was gonna puke, or my breathing got short then i felt like I was burning from the inside out. They only lasted about a minute, but they kinda ruined it. After a while I figured out that Zicam itself just makes me nausious. But the syrup I had no problem with. The only thing I hate about DXM is it decreases my appetite and makes me feel worn out 1-2 days after I did it. I would like to try 3rd plateau again with robo but I'm afraid I'll get sick again like with the Zicam. Cool drug, but not to be used too often.

I like DXM alright. I don't really do it anymore. unlike real pharmaceutical drugs, eating gelcaps or CCC's is an unpleasent ordeal and always makes me gag. the first few times I did it, and occasionally since then, I experienced things that I couldn't even begin to go into. my favorite part of the trip was always that sensation of being lowered, or lifted, or pulled through a tunnel or maze, and the whole world of CEV's around. the rest of the time I just feel totally sketchy and fucked up, in a not unpleasant way. my favorite band to listen to whilst robo-tripping: Neu!

havent touched the stuff in mroe than a year, last time i did it i took 395 and it fucked the shit outta me and i didnt get visuals at all haha i dont like the stuff so far.

I work with DXM now and again, and if I take it I take the Zicam chewable tabs of it. 30mg per tab, and no horrible syrup to kill your system or any other active ingredients.
In this form it takes a lot longer to feel the effects, though. At least for me.

I still wouldn't recommend doing it a whole hell of a lot.

If thats the case, no, it wont cause liver damage. But it can cause heart failure and kill you :)

I don't know if anyone has said this yet but tacking CCC's (coricidin) is fuckn retarded, take pure DXM or otc meds that have only (dextromethorphan HBr) as the active ingredient, CCC's contain some antihistimanes that will rain havoc on your body in high doses.

i did dxm twice about over a year ago, and since speciifically those two doses iv seen blobs and sparks of colour even up till now. less now though. did acid about a month ago, and its not somthing that fucks you up. i couldnt compare it to dxm. acid hasnt increased the blobs of colours much at all. nothing like how dxm did. goes to show

DXM is one of the weirdest drugs I have ever came across. On this forum most people may like it but I'm quite sure that in the general population most people would strongly dislike high doses of DXM. Some people seem to have major problems with after aeffects, probably depends on individual (genetic) enzyme differences. I am talking about pure DXM, no antihistamine or anything else.

I may have posted in here already but my opinion on DXM is that it's worth trying ... Maybe worth doing once a year, but never more than 10 times. I had a problem with DZM where I was dosing 3 mights a week and it really does affect you in the long run. I don't want to judge, or tell anyone how to expirience their drugs, but it's just not cool after a few doses.

Everytime i've tried DXM, it only lasts for 2-3 hours, and I just feel like I have the flu. Dizziness, GI discomfort, weird itchy sensation all over, and i'm usually rendered unable to think or speak coherently. I've taken a bunch of 350 mg doses which were really weak for me. A couple of times I've tried 540 mg, but everytime I just pass out after an hour and then wake up with myself and my room covered in pink vomit. No insights, no visuals, no euphoria. I may still try a 15x Salvia combo with some DXM in a couple of weeks, though it doesn't seem a very smart idea; I consider both very abrasive and unpleasant trips. Is it worth trying pure powder instead of syrup?

It's okay, there's different plateaus and I've reached the 4th before and it was just completely scary as shit since my trip was telling me I was going to die etc, but that was a long time ago, I've had fun with DXM since then.

I'm so sad to see all these uneducated people taking triple c's. You need to take something with DXM in it as the ONLY active ingredient other wise you're hurting your body a lot more than you know (go do some reading!). Anyway, 600-700mg's is a good time for me, anything higher then that then I need to stay put completely.

Most I have ever done is 60 pills of Robotussin (3 bottles) which I believe is 900mg.

To get the best experience out of it I would turn off all of the lights, put on very very quiet music, and curl into a ball under my bed and close my eyes.

I know that sounds weird but I would kind of enter my head for a lack of better description. In there I could do whatever I wanted. I was a frequent visitor to Jupiter but my favorite thing to do was build a cocoon of pure light and then change into something (this began most of my trips).
