i was wondering if anyone could post some info on Diazepam (valium). like, specifically the effects or maybe some links to sites. any information would be helpful. thanks.

It will relax you. It is similar to Xanax or Klonopin. It is relatively safe, until combined with alcohol or other drugs, especially alcohol.

the maximum recommended dose is 10mg, every 6 to 8 hours. If you are not accustomed to benzo's, 5 or 10 mg should be fine.

I convinced my doc to gimme a prescription for Valium, telling her it was the only drug that helps with my insomnia.

I think it's lovely. I take 10 mg w/a glass of wine and veg out. But it's not a good idea if you have work in the morning... you'll sleep heavier than ever and wake up feeling tired if you don't sleep it off completely before waking.

Go for it, it's nice. I'm also on the anti-depressant Paxil, and have had no problem mixing the two (and my doctor gave my no warnings about combining them).

There is no problem at all mixing Valium and Paxil. Paxil makes the Valium last a little longer, if anything.

Valiums are nice. I like them a little too much I think. They help cure my anxiety when I am (duh) anxious about something. When I used to work at the daycare, I took valium a few times a week because there would be certain days the children would just be acting OBNOXIOUS!

Tried. Pretty hard to kill yourself on benzos. Not impossible, but hard. Mixing them with alcohol increases the toxicity, but you will probably be stupid and totally amnesiac for a while.

Ive taken valium, basically it cleared my head and made me sleepy and in a trance and calm state...nothing amazing about it really, also after/during effects were i found it hard to think about anything and i felt like i lost a few I.Q which made it easy to forget any problems if i had any at the time.

Its pretty boring by itself unless you take like 30mgs, even then I dont think its anything to amazing. But if you combine it, or any benzo, with a bit of alcohol it makes it alot better. May have trouble remembering stuff though.

So which is better Xanax or Valiums? I have (50tabs) 10mg Valiums I haven't tried yet. All I know is when I take 3mgs of Xanax I get knocked out. Will Valiums at least keep me awake and feel pretty good?

So does Xanax have different effects than Valiums? I know they are both benzos but my docter said that he would not prescribe them to me becasue they were "to strong". So he prescribed Xanax instead (0.25mg tabs) I had to take 8-12 tabs just to relax. So I decided that I needed Valiums, so I bought some. Does Valiums give off a better calmness/relaxation state?

Good luck. I just refuse to take any of these pills. Never needed it, I personally think you're a bit weak if you NEED something that strong to get you relaxed... unless you have some sort of desease... It's just I'm sick of seing 40/50 year old women getting addict to that shit... «too much stress» they say... BULSHIT, my mom frequently passes throuhg a lot of pressure and never ever took any of those shit... but she's so freaggin strong, really...

ok, my advice to you is stop all those shit. While you can. Try meditation. Sooo much more healthier, easier, and could be as strong as a full Valium box...

I have quite a bit of experience with the subastance, i have taken up to 50 mg at once,and i dont ever feel any effects that i would deem desirable. Try it, just to say you have. But, its definately not a drug of choice.

yah the most i have ever taken was 4 after i snorted one. skip the vallum and go for the vikes. much nicer but there comes a point in every pill poppers life when they need to lay off that pill becuase they are up to 7-8 and thats when i stopped doing them. i would be popping alot or snorting so much it was not good at all....

I think what you guys are failing to realize is that these "pills" are not 2mgs a piece. They are only .25mg a piece. Therefore, 8-12 tabs aren't anything. I have heard of others taking ten 2mg pills in the past but thats not what I am aiming for. .25mg tabs ain't anything. Its not like I take them all at the same time. They are spaced out from two to 3 hrs.

valium is just very mellow - yeah 5-10mg is a ok start - it is actually very safe even with very large over doses unless u add a lot of alco or opiates as well. very very safe generally but if used regular for a period u can get a habit - thats y they dont presxcribe them so much now
