When I was in grade 4 I took tap dancing. It never came in handy at all. The only thing I remember about the class is that the tap dancing teacher had these HUGE boobs that would bounce all over the place.

I could've learned something more useful .... like scrapbooking.

I always wanted to try that as a kid, I liked the sound of the shoes a lot.

Did you wear a leotard? You could've gone on to be in Riverdance or something - I used to try n breakdance but only got as far as trying to do the 'windmill' and smashed my mothers clock witch was on her mantlepiece in the lounge - well that book I was trying to learn from was rubbish.By the time I could do 'robotics' it was out of fashion, but I carried on at teenage disco's regardless.no wonder they said i was weird.

ever heard of 'STOMP'? - I auditioned once but was too much like hard work

No I never got far enough to wear a leotard... I think I wore some rugby pants... that was big in the 80's .... and chink shoes (oh that's terrible)

Tap dancing is really cool looking and I have to admit the sound of the shoes is really neat.

I took tap, jazz, and gymnastics as a child, but I was more drawn to ballet. I took 9 years of ballet dancing. Ate, breathed and slept ballet. It was my life.

I think soccer was more my style, but I broke my ankle in grade 11 and that was the end of soccer superstardom..... had the cast on for 6 months! Damn Dr set it wrong.

Everytime I see this thread I think it says

'I never needed a tap dancing skull' - and I have a strange vision

sorry - just I'd share that with no-one in particular

I used to want to play soccer when I was younger. Never did it though.

But table and lap dancing would have gotten you far...

but when that tapdancing skill is needed, and you jump in a tappin, all will be made clear.

That's right. I'm waiting for the right moment for my shuffle-step bit.

Table dancing, what's that?

Dancing wildly on table slowly removing clothes

I dont think I'd be good at that either... I'd probably cause the table to collapse.

I once danced on a card table, and people were playing cards and I fell off.

I took ballet, tap, jazz. But I took far less tap than the other three. I could've had a job teaching tap and ballet, but I couldn't get to the interview. :( I love tapping though, I'm not as good at it as the other two.
