it's not a bad thing, if you're in it for the right reasons...being a hippie has alot more to it than just following a tread or style...
but one thing is, it's all labels and you shouldn't ever classify yourself as one thing...expand and be everything and anything :D
its your life and you need to find yourself and do what makes you happy, regardless of what anyone says or thinks :D

LiamWell, you've got it nailed. Liam. Bell bottoms. tie-dyes, headbands...you have got this Hippie shit downpat. I don't know why I even bothered reading The Psychedelic Review, or hung out with SDS, or...whatever.

You got the Bell-bottoms, you be the real hippie. SO fuckin' cool ain't it?

First off, folks, this really isn't the forum for this type of discussion. We'll be nice & leave it here, but next time Liam, please check the full forum list before picking which one best suits the subject which you wish to post about.

Second, please keep the sarcasm to yourself Sch... or post in some other forum. The kid is just looking for some feedback.

Liam, being a hippie is about so much more than clothing styles. we know plenty of hippies who wear things outside of the hippie stereotype. Do you know what we say 'hippie' stands for?
H- highly
I-intelligent
P-person
P-pursuing
I-individual
E-enlightenment

Being a hippie is a lifestyle, a cultural preference, a complitation of many thoughts and ideas. A hippie fashion statement is just that...a fashion statement.

Come on now!
Give this cat a break.
Liam, I support you.
I don't believe in labels, but if you want to label yourself.
Fine.
As long as you know that you are you and there's nothing to come before that, you are alright.
Words, names, or life style.
Smile on your brother.
Everybody get together.
Learn to love one another
Right now.

Liam,
Please check out the young hippies forum; you'll find people your age to talk too. There are a lot of other forums to chat on too.

As capitalist as it may sound, we really need to keep this forum to stuff related to our business so we are closing this thread.
