What usually works for me is the handle of a toilet plunger, with a condom over it to avoid splinters. Lube it up real well, and when you find the right angle, you'll know it :)

well.. since you're a male you're probably going for the prostate.. which you can reach from outside as well.. for reaching it through the inside: lube up very well and start with just a small item (maybe a finger/pinky) and try to get it in while staying relaxed.. once that's done.. try feeling around a little inside until you hit 'the spot'.. you should feel the prostate like a little buldge..it's like the female G-spot in a way. Household objects are a bad idea for anal masturbation; especially if you haven't explored with your own touch to have some familiarity with the shape of the colon.
