Have you ever had an abortion or are you thinking about it? Many women have been faced with this situation and they have wondered what to do, as they have not been prepared for the situation.
On the next lines we are going to look at abortion, which certainly is not one of the easiest subjects. We are going to concentrate on whether abortion is the right thing to do, what points are used to justify it and how the child's development generally takes place. It is important to be clear about these, because our opinion of abortion depends a lot on how we think about these issues.
The next story well describes, what a difficult thing an unexpected pregnancy can be for many people, especially if they are not mentally prepared and been ready for it - it may feel like a heavy burden for them. The example also shows, how in spite of all the propaganda, many who have had an abortion later feel that they did the wrong thing. They may feel guilty of it, but they can't undo it anymore.

- 1.”The fetus is not a person"
- 2.”The woman has a right to decide on her own body"
Those were the only important things I read in that entire article. No wait, I must add a third and fourth of my own:
- 3. "Abortion is legal"
-4. "Unless you live in Iran, legislating personal rights and choices is not the business of a religious organization."
The ethics of abortion is something for the medical community to debate.
Have a pleasant day.

abortion is a tricky issue. obviously people have strong opinions going either way. i'm of the mind that, while, no, abortions are not..."good" they shouldn't be illegal. it should be a "to each their own" sorta choice. it's ultimatley up to the woman. and no amount of laws or "ethics" will change that. abortion is not a new thing. it's been around for thousands of years. there are plants out there that cause the uterus to start contracting. recent medicine or our culture has not invented it.

I dont think abortion should be made illegal, while I would not encourage anyone to do it I also believe that its not my place to tell someone else how to live, its not like im perfect. However it is an issue that has to be tacked to some extent in law as a split second after birth its murder and im guessing that for sometime before birth many poeple would agree the same applies. All that people disagree on is how far back you go before its not, at the same time a line has to be put down somewhere.

Until I can become pregnant (I am a guy) I won't have an opinion that is relevant to the argument. Until government can become pregnant the same statement applies. Until churches can become pregnant the same statement applies. It is an issue between the woman (singular), her situation and her beliefs. It is a tragedy that unbon children are aborted but it is an equal tragedy that a woman finds herself in a situation where she has to make that decision. One of the rare instances in the world where taking sides is morally wrong.

I agree with Zoomie - what on earth does religion have to teach any of us, since the only wars going on right now effectively abort 100's of thousands of people a year and they are all being fought by religiously motivated nutcases. If these religious organisations want to teach the world something about the sanctity of life, perhaps they could stop bitchin about each other and making life unbearable for everyone. In fact they could stop chucking bombs around and save more lives that way. Only then when religious nutters show us they have a message of peace could they lecture us on moral equivalence and the ethics of abortion

It is my guess that oprotunistic politicians striving to make their constituents happy over honestly having a real opinion and all of the war hawks out there that spend so much time fretting over the loss of the "unborn" feel very little qualms or mis-givings about sending the "born" 17 and 18 year old boys and girls off to die in far away and exotic places. The loss of the unborn is a tragety that has been dwarfed by many orders of magnitude throughout history of the wanton death and distruction of the born. I have an idea...lets stop killing in general.

i don't really have a full opinion on it, in some ways its not wrong, like if you are raped or you will die from having the kid i see a choice.
But the answer is, well that its legal, you can protest for it, or against but it dosen't matter, because its legal and people can do it if they want. Whether you like it or not.
So
If you don't like abortion, don't have one.
