You know, I've always said that I preferred APC over Tool, but their new album rocks. I really like it! And the album artwork is awesome with the 3D effect!

Oh, he will.....you know how he loves bodily fluids....

Here from the king's mountain view
Here from the wild dream come true
Feast like a sultan, I do
On treasures and flesh never few
But I would wish it all, away
If I thought I'd lose you just one day
The devil and his had me down
In love with the dark side I've found
Dabblin' all the way down
Up to my neck soon to drown.
But you changed that all for me
Lifted me up, turned me round
So I, I would wish this all away
Pray like a martyr dusk to dawn
Beg like a hooker all night long
Shout to the devil with my song
And got what I wanted all along
this has to be one of the best songs ever written. Leave it to Maynard Keenan to be able to express the truth in such a way.

did anyone get to go to any TooL concert? I missed out on going to mine for several different reasons. Hopefully they will be back next spring or summer

Have you heard 'Passenger' by the Deftones? Maynard sings in it; it's awesome.

Tool has to be one of my favorite bands. When I went to go see them for my birthday present- you know i was just a fan like cool its tool fan but when i had front and center. i was right by adam...they blew my fucking mind, they put on a helluva act! Ive gained so much respect for tool after that show, my mom was amazed too. aftre we left, her words were "that was some crazy shit" lol I was sober but they made me so high with the music and lights. the song that made me fall in love with them at the concert was Jambi- IT WAS NUTS! it was like a never ending orgasm! lol

I love Tool, if you couldn't tell from my screen name. It was the first concert I've ever been too during the Lateralus tour, absolutely amazing.

I own all the Tool albums.
I have seen Tool live twice, once at the Gorge in Washington state, and the other time was in Spokane. (both were part of the 10,000 days tour)
Have to say that the Spokane had the best lightshow, with the lasers and cool effects, but the Gorge was AMAZING, and overall, a better show.

This doesn't really deal with TooL directly, but Maynard has a side project called Puscifer which is interesting to say the least.

The album, "V is for Vagina" is just as good as any tool or APC album. Its one of those albums that doesn't have all those crappy filler songs on it. It is just one kick ass tune after another, just like TooL. There hasn't been a song come from them yet that sucks. None are skippable while listening to the cd. That is the sign of a really good album

true true. I think maynard did that because the next tool album is going to be a while (i think) but you know its gonna be worth the wait. Im excited what this upcoming album brings and means ;)

Yes, I think it will be a pretty good amount of time before we see another TooL album. Probably a couple years. In all the interviews I've ever seen of Maynard, he re-interates one thing. His music is art, and he wants his art to heal. As he stated, he could keep repeating the same thing over and over again, (referring to other bands who put out 2 or 3 fucking cd's a year with nothing worth listenting to on them) or take his time, let us take our time to enjoy what has been put out already.
Hearing him talk, you almost think he isn't even considering another TooL album at the moment, which is probably pretty accurate. He is really into winemaking.
"I've seen the music industry, I think I'll just stick to winemaking" maynard said in an interview a few years back.

Awwww but maynard has a soft spot too ;) he cant stop making Tool. I have a feeling they're going to make like another Opiate album this time. let him drink his wine and think about it. he'll come around to it sooner or later ;)
but like you said its better than 3-4 albums every year, it wont be worth listening to, so I dont ever think tool can do bad at their talent. I still hate when people say all their music is the same :rolleyes:
I like your sig quote btw
