The scared spiral is an ancient pagan concept, without the spiral of life there can be no spiral of death, without the spiral of death there can be no spiral of rebirth.
we dance through the spiral of joy, then go through the spiral of pain, we go through a spiral of personnal growth, then go through a spiral of rest.
the ancient pagan religions have always honored nature at their centre, never than in nature is the holy spiral more apparant. the seasons follow one another as sure as night follows day.
the leaves fall from the trees, compost the ground, and feed the plants, the plants grow and die or are eaten by animals who will sooner or later die and compost and feed the earth.
it is only the human, who wants to bring clean perfection to everything that damages the spiral, humans hate death, we cover it up where ever possible, we hide it from our children, we fear and dread it. Perversely sex the life giving gift from the universe, is also seen by many people, to be disgusting, as a result STD's and youth pregnancys are on the increase, because we are unable to be open and honest about sex.
Pagans study nature they see the spiral and the balance that it gives us, they see the life it can give us if we learn to treat her with respect, because of this and the patterns of nature, many pagans believe in the concept of reincarnation, we die, we live the sacred spiral again, even those that do not believe in the reincarnation of actual life, believe that we die we norish the ground and our life force in this way becomes the earth, then a tree....
So remember what ever you do in life the spiral will always turn

I think on this thread it would be useful to visit what my vision of the sacred spiral is
I'm aiming at a forum, where we can discuss spirituality in its broadest sense, where like minded people can come together and chill.
basically you can bring anything to this forum, if you can't think of anything spiritual, just hang around and gossip!
I don't like rules, rules are for a good wash on a washing machine, however a forum does have to have rules for people to be able to 'live together' on it, this is very apparent in the sacred spiral where I wish for people to live together with a sense of common respect and peace for each other
so please follow the forum rules of the hip forum at large, that includes basic respect for fellow posters, but you all already new that!
when someone posts a request for support, please, if you do post on that thread, words of support and encouragement, don't judge their situation, they are already in a situation where they feel upset enough to ask for help.
anyone that flames or abuses other forum members, I will delete their posts and/or threads, I do not expect to do this a lot, because A) most people will come in here with a sense of shared respect and B) I do believe in free speech where ever possible. still if you are concerned or upset about another members posts in here do pm me
