Hello my Darlin's,
I am writing this Just In Case. My pc is going down fast. If ya don't see me around for a while, I'm not dead, at least I hope I'm not. I will post as long as my pc sees fit and lets me, yesterday it would not let me post or send email. My Gatway is 8 yrs old and been struck by lightening twice. I haven't been able to use my webcam, scanner or printer for a while now.
I'm hoping santa will leave me a new one but that's a while away yet and I'm not holding my breath..lol.. I wont be going to the public library bc I stole a book 20 yrs ago called Steal This Book. I'm not sure how long my pc will last, so Just in Case, I wanted yy'all to know I loves ya all and I will be back someday.. I'm not gone yet but I never know if it will be today that my pc dies.
I will say now Brightest Blessings on you journeys and my the wind be at your back and the sun shinning on your path.

Come on hun, I think even in Texas the statue of limitations is shorter than twenty years! *LOL* BTW; Rita and I are camped out at Mouseman's and looking around for a place at the moment. I keep trying to talk her into heading down yonder to see ya'll and she just mutters about "heat & humity" and how we have to wait till the fall. *Hugs*

Accually it quiet loverly here. The weather has been in the upper 70's to lower 80s, there has been a nice cool breeze. The Gardens are up and are begening to show little tomatoes and we are eating taters and onions already. No fruit tho, what fruit was on the trees, a late April frost got them and what they didn't get high wind gust took out. Every day I go out and 'commune' with my trees/plants/flowers, I see wha twas left on the trees laying beneith them.. WAAAaaaaa.. I wanted to eat them juicy plums. Ohh well.. when ya live on a farm ya have to take the good seasons with the bad.. we'll survive, but I'm still gonna pout.
Brightest Blessings

Thanks Tautara, I'm right in the middle of helping organize Goodstock 2007 Peacefest and I need my pc to communicate with the world. There is still so much to do and the only way I have, with everything being so far from me, to find imformation that we need to bring Goodstock 2007 to WV.
I would hate to drop the ball and leave everyone hanging. Not that it couldn't happen with out me, but Larry needs me right now. So I'm praying my pc holds up till at least we have GS set up. It seems tp be working ok today, but ya never can tell.
Thanks again for the seniment and Brightest Blessings to you.

Hey there Shameless! We are workin hard on this end. Seems Goodstock will be here if anywhere. (We'll put WV on the map yet, for something other than deadly coal mines.) The ball is rolling fast. So many details to work out. Glad that Larry is "in charge", tho sometimes I think he needs a little practical guidance(?) I figure it gets sort of overwhelming sometimes... Between drawing maps, researching aerial photos, figuring out things like electric, water, parking, advertizing, and how many people can actually FIT on 115 acres comfortably, plus all the details of putting together this years Always Free Jamfest, and the gardening and mowing and building I barely have time to stop here and say "high". So I stays up til 1 in the mornin so I can hang here for a few. I'll be sorry in the morning.
Heres a picture of the view looking down the holler from our "lookout point" in the campground. Thats our barn down there...

Hey EM,
Glad to hear from ya.. I know excatly what you mean about time. Yjere is never enough time to fit it all in.I have been intensly planting virtuely everything I can get my hands on.And have been shamelessly neglecting my 'chores'.. My neice and me went out and dug up baby Redbuds out of the bar ditch around the corner from the farm yesterday. I planted three of them and Kim planted four. They are going to be stunning in a couple of yrs. But I will tell ya one thing.. it aint no easy task getting them Redbuds away from their mamas. They come up from the roots of the mama tree and they go five or six feet deep and the it's attatched to a big ole fat root. It took about 30 minutes a sapling.. I did get a nice one about three feet tall. That one I'm paying for this morning.. ouchie..
I know it's a little late for transplanting but the mowers will be coming soon to mow the bar ditches and would mow them down. So we acctually saved them..
I've been working on Goodstock with Larry a little over a yr now and we have made progress, but now with a location, there at your place things will really start to rock n roll, so much to do.. Are ya ready.. :P This is such a huge event. I'm glad your in, cuz' you have experience in these kinds of gatherings and Larry needs all the help he can get. And your right about getting overwhelming. THe details are enormous.
I am now in the process of rounding up vendors to service everyone.. another tricky one. There isn't really a Vendors association that I can contact to like put the word out or post on a website for vendors. I can't find any in my area that are willing to travel that far, but I'm sure there are plenty in the surrounding area of where you are. So the best bet would be to advertise in thoese surrounding areas to handle the vending. And I was also wondering if yours was a "Wet' county, do they sell beer. I don't drink beer but a lot of others do.
Well I gotta run, my pc is acting up, be talking to ya soon
Brightest Blessings

advertisement is a key problem.i keep a newspaper ad going but it lacks the one on one touch.i've passed out cards to all the contractors but they mostly want cheap. The key is getting to the homeowners.i think High Desert Hippie sells truck signs up in Joshua Tree.Might have to go see him...guns and all.Actually i got a lot of work to do around the property but have lacked incintive.Todays a good day to get it back though. It's driving the wife nuts as you might imagine.
How about a sign"Will Work for Peace".Think i'd get any takers.
