Why is the philosophy forum lumped in with religion?

Religion and philosophy are two entirely separate subjects. Why is the forum not divided into a section for philosophy - in which there are all manner of subjects and another section for religion?
Unless you miss the point - philosophy is an academic subject in which the main point is the love of reason. Religion is the exploration of mystical ritualism.

Religion is bullshit, philosophy is not. Obviously, people here can't see that and believe that you can't have philosophy and question certain things without remembering that nothing would exist if not for "god" and jesus and all of that Judeo-Christian crap. That's why they're put in the same category as each other here.

The point of my original post being that anyone who has taken even the first year primer courses would know that philosophy is the basis of all science.
It is not a case of believing in a philosophy, or believing in philosophy. The practice of philosophy is the art of finding a methodology by which you may first of all deconstruct a line of logic or reason, and then reconstruct it with a better rationale. It is not simply a case of assertion of belief but a method by which one or more people can discuss empirical evidence and deduce a logical principle.

untrue ! belief is at the basis of religion, while philosophy adopts scepticism as its basis.
religion upholds that god is good - philosophy asks "what is god"?, "What does "good" mean"? and then elicits truth from logical analysis. People like Wittgenstein would have believed it made no sense to speak of "god" as there would be nothing that the word made reference to. To speak of god is merely to utter a meaningless sound.

when it gets down to it both philosophy and religion are both supositions about how and, or why people are they way they are, Just someones idea about the way a person should conduct there lives, definitions of right and wrong.
I studied phylosphy a bit year befor last, read the "masters" and was left feeling like i had wasted alot of time. The one thing they seem to have in comman is they use alot of words to explain the words they use, and spit out truism like they cant stomach them

What has the subject of Semantic logic, or Wittgensteins "Tractatus Logico Philosophicus", or Bernard Williams "Moral Luck", got to do with religion?

perhaps a week out of three years talking over ideas to do with deity
