I disagree with the first part and agree with the second. The world might not be much better next year than this year (except hopefully we'll be rid of Bush), but in the long-term I think the world will be a hell of a lot better it is now.

I doubt that a person in the year 2100 will have anything we'd call "problems"...though if he's anything like us I'm sure he'll find SOMETHING to bitch about.

Hell yeah abaadabba. I'm cynical but I'm also optimistic, the futures going to be wicked, I'm a technophile, and I can't wait to see what happens in the next twenty years. I doubt it'll be a utopia are grankids are living in, but I bet its pretty awesome.
