Looks for the day

With an empty smile
A promise of naught

He is is evil within


That snake has bitten
She is hypnotized


I felt better about all of it
After a while
I had to get stupid
Drinking a bottle
And use a big pile
Of self doubt and regret
Depression was my only friend
I came to realize
She’s falling
And may sink
But not swim


Sinking away and slipping down
Looking for a day
When he will be around
Have forgotten his faults
And holding a future
More imperfect than I ever could offer

Frustation, confusion, pain, and depression form many words in my head. I am most organized and able to write artisticly when I am down. It is about my girl who just left me for an abusive, non caring ex. I talked to her tonight about things though, and we are getting through our problems.
