freakin side effects

i've been on effexor for 3 weeks now, but the first week, i was only on a half dose (37.5), so i dont think it really counts.

the side effects are miserable. i'm sooooo sleepy all the time. i thought that maybe part of the problem is that i'd been sleeping in until 10 or 11 and didnt get my pill into me until that late, so i've been setting an alarm clock and waking up long enough to take my pill at 7

i'm still incredibly tired all the time.

not depressed

but sooooo tired.

not really looking for advice, just venting

gotta go talk to my doc and get off this crap. that's all

well since you dont want advice, i wont give much :) i will just say many medications have side effects that go away after a few weeks as your body adjusts to them.

Hmm I say if it persists go to the doctor...Effexor SHOULDN'T do that. It could, but that's pretty rare....

I ODed on Effexor once, and my mom called the doctor all worried, and they actually said I'd be fine because it's one of the safest medications out there.

*shrugs* maybe it was just a way to calm her down...but who knows.

Even though you don't want my advice, if that lasts, I'd ask to try some other medication. If you're always sleepy, then what's the point?
