Another dumb question: Is it illegal to possess marijuana SEEDS in the United States? I was thinking about buying some Amsterdam seeds online and growing my own, but I wasn't sure how much risk I'd be taking when the package went through customs. A friend of mine told me he doesn't think it's illegal to get the seeds. Anyone know?

from what i understand the law is a sort of grey area when it comes to seed possession as the seeds themeselves contain very very little amounts of thc. buying from the states is not recommended because the states have become increasingly stupid when it comes to cracking down on seed retailers recently. If at all possible, have them ordered from canada, as the raids on seeds retailers tend to be few and far between. The very best way to get them if you must get them in the U.S. is to have them shipped to a p.o. box or a friends house who is willing to take the risk, once they are shipped from the retailing place u r pretty much safe from being tracked as they usually have a practice of destroying all records of the sale once they are shipped.

party harty rock & roll

In america- Some states have felony laws- one seed can get you put in prison. They have states with decriminalized marijuana laws like california, oregon,And Alaska. Theey also have medical laws, which are even more tricky.
In cali where i live, I used to have to worry about seeds because they weigh them right along with the weed and stems. Like over an ounce of seed would be a felony.
But now i grow medical cannabis I can have seeds and stems around as much as i want- leaves too. Only trimmed bud counts ,and i can have a half pound of that.

Just be careful and like he said before- have them send discreetly to somewhere you are not going to be grwoing them out at.
A P.O. box being the safest bet.

I always ordered my seeds from hemcy.com. its a greatplace to get seeds, because they give you average yields, and what kind of lighting regimen the specific plant likes. I ordreed them to my house, and they came in a discreet envelope that looked like it contained a letter. very very discreet, with a bs return adress and everything. just order them, youll be fine.

Seeda are legal by UN treaty.

Conspiracy to grow, however, is not.

Don't order seeds from canada. The canadian gov freely interferes with shipments, ( incliding irradiation) and is the US gov's bitch, anyway. Not to mention that marc emery and company are over priced rip-offs.

Order from amsterdam.

for one place, here:

as long as your name is not on the delivery, you've nothing to worry about. Until accepted (opened or signed for), a package belongs to the party that sent it.

I obviously can't say anything for the US but I have used www.seedsdirect.to (http://www.seedsdirect.to) and they are cheap & very discreet and so far 100% have grown and 90% turned out to be female.
