pot may calm people down, but it totally fucks attention and learning. adderall is much better for treating ADHD...

i have some ADHD friend who regular smoke pot, though. they say it helps. but i still see them as highly impulsive, so maybe the feeling is subjective.

I have ADD and yes adderall helped, but it also turned me into a crackhead. using pot therapeutically also helps, but without the side effects that come along with amphetamine use. So yes, it can definitely help those with ADD.

it helps in a very different way, and i have a feeling that there are many types of conditions that result in being diagnosed with add, and that cannabis may help some but definately not all. just like amphetamines. the situation is made so much more complicated by simplifying the idea into terms of attention or concentration, because these are only manifestations of whats actually going on.

for example, hyperactivity is caused by less brain activity, not high activity. this fact messes with people's heads.

My boyfriend has ADD. Pot really helps him... ritalin and adderall made him all cracky-like, so he ditched those, and now smokes a lot of really dank pot.

Haha i do not have ADD, I guess I am a loner! But smoking pot makes it really hard for me to pay attention. I cant really listen to people if i am really stoned, and i cant read or write very well. I guess it may be different for someone who does have ADD or ADHD...

i have add and been taking medication since like 2nd grade but once i started smoking weed i stoped cause it was much better, but recently i got a new prescription

I'm ADD and have found that the adderal and marijuana provide just the balance i need. I'm an award winning journalist, would have never made it without weed. Someone stated as if it were Fact that marijuana isn't good for focus and learning, maybe not for you, but everyone is wired up differently. In my experience as a professional writer, I would say my stories are much easier to write and with a higher quality when I have weed. It helps me calm down enough to focus without getting overwhelmed. Without weed, even with adderall, I tend to get so overwhelmed that I can't craft the words and arrange the information in the most easily consumable fashion like I can when have smoked before embraking on a detailed and important story. My order in arranging the information flows so much more smoothly when I'm stoned.
In school before I was a stoner, I struggled to make Cs, but I had scored very high on IQ tests. Once I found weed, I was able to enjoy reading like I had never enjoyed before, I could actually be calm enough to figure out what needed to be done and the order in which it needed to be done in, I was better at remembering to do my assignments, pack them with me to class and turn them in with higher grades resulting from higher quality of work. I rose to a high B student with an A or 2, here and there which was completely unheard of when I was trying so hard without weed.

Everyone's chemical make up is different, weed may make some people forget and become lazy, but it has an opposite affect on me. I become more social, am more likely to have a neat house, remember things instead of wandering around in circles constantly forgeting and getting distracted once I became a stoner. Everyone thought I was a stoner before I was one becaue of my natural ADD behavior, but after I became a stoner, no one would have ever guessed I was a stoner because my results with weed have always helped me.

My adderall, I can take it or leave it. If I have excessive tons to do with little time, that's when I actually take my ADD meds, otherwise, weed alone has better results for me.

Adderall and weed helps alot of my friends concentrate on things. I'm sorry though, pot doesn't make me focus at all. Completely the opposite. I lose shit when I'm high and forget things.

I have ADHD and I use to be a straight F student, even when I was taking Ritalin and Adderall. I failed 6th grade and then I also failed 10th grade. My second year in 10th grade I was smoking 2 joints to myself every morning before class and I ended up getting straight A's and B's. My teacher knew I was stoned all the time and he even told me that I seem to do better in class when I was stoned. I just put on some headphones, listened to music, and zoned out while I did my work. It worked like a charm. All I could concentrate on was my class work. The weed helped me block everything else out of my mind so I could concentrate on the task at hand. I ended up getting kicked out of school that year for coming to class stoned off my ass. Then I went to get my GED and I decided to get stoned before I took my tests. I ended up scoring in the top 10% of all Diploma and GED recipients in Georgia. So yes, weed works very well for me.
