i went to Franks Nursery with a friend a couple days ago and we were looking at plant seeds and i saw Salvia. i freaked out b/c i have heard of salvia before and how amazing it can be and how it is still legal. so i was wondering:
1) would the seeds that they are selling in the store be the correct plant or are there different forms of it??
2) is it worth it to try growing a salvia plant??
any info would be great!

They're probably S. Splendens, rather than S. Divinorum, but there are many reports of it, and also S. Officinalis (the garden herb, Sage) having a similar effect to S. Divinorum.
I've planted seeds of those other two strains with the intent of trying them out when they're ready.........
If you see seeds advertised as S. Divinorum, you ought to be aware that She very rarely sets seed at all, usually relying on growing tall enough to fall over and develop roots on the branches that come in contact with the soil, or on humans to take cuttings.

intitially the plant takes a fair bit of care
after a year of good care it might be 3 feet high or more with up to 30 branches.
after 2 years you might have 30 plants 3 feet high.
Each one of those could yeild an oz. or 30 more plants.
During growth leaves fall off which could amount to anothere OZ. per plant.
if you have some space and don't travel much
it is very worth it.
making it branch is a trick.
when a stem or branch grows 4-6 inches, you pinch off the tiny new growth and it then grows 2 3 4 or 5 branches in that spot. wait for any of them to be 4-6 inches long branches and repeat.
when you pinch apical meristems like that other new grows also starts along the stem.
