Last one was convertable I believe that year.

now you have cars that not only pass up them et's but get over 20mpg but most lack the lines of thier past. Like the new GTO, damn ugly but under 13 second quarter mile times and rated 21mpg. Im sure that was a conservative estimate too since my 95 Impala gets 25mpg on the freeway. I know a guy that put a 2002 LS1 vette engine and 6spd tranny in a 1969 RSSS, reliable and gets 27mpg highway and pulls low 12's

my 68 camaro has a 427 4 speed in it and does 11's with 488 gears. bad bad bad gpm though. thats gallon per mile

the 66 cobra domintaed the scca, circuit for 8 years..

was the first muscle car with 4 wheel disc brakes..

as i recall,, it was reported to have went 0 to a 100 and back to 0 in 12 seconds or so..

my dream ride was a 65 gto convertible,, then i had a 67 catalina,,an a 67 lemans..

i always liked the led sleds as a kid..

it hurt a lot less when ya totalled them.. ;)

im way past speed for pleasure..

now adays pullin power an keepin it below the 13 miles over the limit an still bein able to make time occupy my thoughts..

my old work truck used to rock an roll,, but with 396,000 miles on that 11 year old cummings turbo..

shes struggles to hit 65 from a standing stop up a 5% grade..

shes still my girl tho..
will do the max gross weight only 5 miles a hour slower than empty..

man i luv trucks that luv to work..

even tho boss man has called it my truck,, for like 9 years,, he pays for everything..

the whole mine thing..

he drilled it into me..

so i guess its like a all exspences paid cruise,,

funny i live 83 miles from the warehouse,, an they pay 100% of my maintence,, gas etc..

if i need to use it to haul somethin on the weekends,, no biggie,,..

if i go outta state i gotta tell boss man etc..

tis all good man..
its like a 10 grand a year perk.. ;)

Now this is an American Machine! http://www.saleen.com/saleen_s7_main.htm the only car to beat it in the race for breaking 200MPH in less than a mile was a Don Henessey Viper that they had to remove the cats and the air cleaner to beat the bone stock Saleen S7. If me and powerball ever are freinds it will be mine, oh yes it shall, lol.
