Hey all here are a couple poems of mine, let me know your honest opinions if you have any, I don't claim to be that much of a poet anyway. I don't know but I may put up more poems later if I come up with any later.
This first one is just an example of the goofy stoned doggerel I'm wont to write when I'm in a certain state of mind. I wrote this one maybe a year back or so.
The Black Walrus of Bohemia
-----------------------------
Beware my friend for if you
trot through the hills near Prague
deep within a bog
lies the deadly Black Walrus
of Bohemia
With his savage Tusks of Irony
he'll rend your soul apart
His massive folds of fat will crush you forever flat
Beware especially his rancid Walrus Fart!
His whiskers can skewer
the strongest Norwegian boar
And I doubt you wish to hear
of how he did mangle and masticate
the village whore!
With his deadly elongated cuspids
the last unicorns he did mince
their plaintive neighs for aid
were heard never since
Cloaked in a veil of darkness he lies within his lair
on an island of black sootish tint
in a bog of purest absinthe
Only at the end of dusk
in a trail of strongest musk
will he leave his murky cave
and seek out for his meal
the unfortunate and the foolish brave.
But should you face him in battle
and should you not fail
then eat you must his tail
then, and only then, my friend
will the human race
live in completest peace
and realize their fate.

Yeahh.. don't ask me what the hell that last stanza's supposed to mean :)
This next one's a more recent and sober effort.
The Same Old Poem
----
Same old voices
wailing against my weary ears
Same old voices
reaching for my long-dried tears
Same old voices
spitting out the same old fears
So much that I just can't tell
if they still matter
or are we just in some kind of hell
could we ever right the ship
or are we just fucking blind?
Is there really anything to hide
or is it just
demons in our minds?
Same old faces
flashing plastic smiles on the TV screen
Same old faces
winking eyes laced with a shade of green
Same old faces
working their wiles behind the scenes
So much that I just don't know
if they still care
or if it's all just some kind of show
did we ever have a chance at all
are we doomed to just watch and sit
Is there anyone still legit?
or are they just
all full of shit?
