i've always been told that when we reach a certain stage, late in life, it becomes easier to remember what you did at age three, then what you had for breakfast three hours ago. my mixed fortune is that i remember both. but i am occasionaly forgetting where i sat my glassess down. i'm not so sure this is becoming any more of a problem then it has always been. i was 'abscent minded' as a teenager. notoriously so according to my peers. but i suspect it is starting to get ever so gradualy worse.

the first thirty to forty years of my life do indeed remain as clear now as at the time i was living them, as do the rather less eventful almost twenty years since then.

i vaguely remember a flashbacks forum as mentioned, but i don't recall seeing it in the catigory/directory 'mind trips', where i tend to hang out (nor for that matter, lately at all). i like that this is here.

Flashbacks forum is more dedicated to those who lived thru the 60s and their experiences of that time, rather than specific things that they remember from any period. It's more story oriented than subject oriented. Obviously there could be some overlap, but I think there's a distinction.
