Not so much dangerous but you can catch infections in your throat if he has a nasty one - so be careful

Yes. You can contract herpes and several other stds through oral sex especially if your partner has an outbreak. These can spread to your genitals. Please err on the side of caution and use condoms if you don't know your bed partner very well.

no she would have got regular herpes on her genitals if it was an every day cold sore, she wouldnt have contracted genital herpes.

Both HSV-1 (cold sores) and HSV-2 are considered genital herpes if they are on the genitals.
