I'm seriously so fucking scared now. I have an appointement on Monday at 8:45 in the morning for an interview with someone who's gonna decide if I can get my VISA to move to the U.S or no. They're gonna ask me tons of documents, ask me questions, test my English, test ME!! And I'm gonna be filmed... I'm so scared I say something wrong, it's terrible! If they refuse me my VISA I don't know what I'll do... it's so important to me! I'm scared they find me suspicious... because, you know, to get a student VISA, I have to convince them that I don't intend to stay in the U.S after college, and the thing is... I do... like I said somewhere before, I'll come back here when my VISA expires, but then I wanna go back to America. And they can't know that... so I'll have to do my best to convince them.

Wish me good luck!

Seriously though, I do wish you luck and I am sure that you will do fine. :)

Fuck, it's in exactly 17 hours. I'm scared, because we've been working on this shit for about a year. First we decided to study in the US, then (since we're both drop-outs) we ordered this huge GED book, and studied every day for about 4 months and went to Madrid where we both got really high grades on it (plus, she took her TOEFL test and I took the SAT). Then we looked and looked for good colleges, went to all the trouble to apply abroad, which was difficult for Laety since she had to do all the international stuff, and we had to get accepted and we waited for them to send the I-20 form. Now the last thing is the VISA. After all this work I think she deserves the VISA!:&

To answer Jetblack, we're both living in Murcia, Spain. I am American, and she is French, but her family is living here and I got invited over so I came. Anyway, we're going to live in New Jersey, around where my parents live... about 20 minutes away from New York.

You're so cute and awesome, they might not want to let you go so they can keep you for themselves... :D Good luck, though. You have to come visit! We can throw you a Hip Party.

We've just been through the same thing...Me and my son...I have an American Passport..(Born in the USA) and my son is British...We tried from the UK, but as you say the forms are HORRENDOUS....

So we packed up, sold the house and moved out here, and applied here...No probs...got it in one go with three questions...(Then we hoisted the American flag and flew it from our pick-up truck and drove round this little hick town hooping and hoolering...! and yep...the good folks of this little town were glad for him too....free beer all round...by them..)

Also know of another Canadian girl who applied from here and got it no probs on a couple of questions....

Well, all I can say is "Good Luck", just do the interview....Good things can come true....

I GOT IT!!!! I GOT IT!!!! :D *jumps and dances all over the room*

I'm so happy, it all went fine! It really wasn't like I thought it would be... I just showed up at the embassy, had to wait in a line with other applicants to U.S imigration, and when it was finally my turn, I just had to wait in another line inside of this big room full of counters with glass windows and numbers. I gave my documents to this Spanish woman, who checked if I has everything, and asked me how long I had been in Spain, and then she told me to sit down and wait until they call me. After 15 minutes, I was called to window #3, and this American guy went: "Hi! How are you?" with a big smile, and I suddenly stopped being stressed. I had forgotten how Americans always ask you how you are! lol Anyways, he just asked me a few questions, like: "so, you're going to go study in America, right?", "where?", "what?", "how did you find out about this university?", "have you ever been in America before?", "where?", etc. Of course all the answers were on the Visa application, but he just checked. He took my fingerprints, and then he showed me an enveloppe with my address on it and said "okay, we'll send you your Visa to this address, you'll get it in a week to 10 days. Have a good trip!"

I'M SO HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!! :D

Yaaaaaay! Are you gonna come on a boat and see the Statue of Liberty on the horizon? Because that's the only way to do it... hehe... Or, I guess you could fly. Whatever.

Congratulations! I'm so happy for you.

I'd love to come on a boat... but only my crates will! I'll be flying.

I knew that everything would work out for you :)

Here's an advance welcome to the U.S. Too bad you're not coming up to Northern California.

Thanks! :)

I'll be going to California for Christmas vacation, maybe we can organize something to meet, we'd have time to make plans! I could take a bus from LA to where you live, or something...

Anyways, I received my VISA in the the mail today! It was so incredibly fast, it was sent on the 13th, the day after I went there, and they had told me it would take 10 days... wow :) It's looking really beautiful, it can't stop looking at it lol Maybe I'll scan it and post a picture of it here...
