do you do anything before you meet with your counsellor/therapist/psych/person to help you get ready for the meeting?

Not really, just keep in mind some GOALS you hope to achieve for yourself. Your psych counselor is going to probably ask you, or give you a paper to right down what you hope to get out of your counseling!!!

I couldnt hack it, sitting there talking about my problems to a complete stranger. I already do that every month with my psychiatrist, I dont need another person like a counselor to talk to, BUT you do, so go!!!! Dont listen to me about my experience!!!

I have my own troubles and problems; So you shouldnt worry, the counselors are very nice and they will do everything to keep you comfortable while your there. Just keep in mind your goals, like I said, they will ask you that.

Good Luck, I hope your stronger than me. I had one on one sessions but just couldnt hack it because I am way to paranoid and full of too much anxiety!!!

God Bless
Take Care

yes but I'm not allowed to anymore. I used to bring my planner and a note pad and take notes and make a list of issues I needed to discuss. He said that I need tot rust my thoughts not wirtie them down and that they will give me a card with my list of appoitments at the front countrer and that it's too obsessivet o write them teice. he says therapy needs to be relaxing-not another job and that he wants me to cut down to one job take a break after my ba, rent an apartment with some funner friends before buying int he market again yaddaa yada yada all these thigns that will never happen.

so now i sneak in index cards and read them int he waiting room to make sure i get all my topics covered. i want to be a therapist so i find in ways to sneak in about which teachers are good at national ect..he says i am narotic...just like that said i was narotic...hrmmmm
