Kif box, might work

I was.. ah .... mellow th' other day, and this kif box idea came through a blue smoky haze, what do ya think?

Aquire a home electric ice cream maker, one with a plastic (as opposed to wood) bucket.
Drill a few holes around the ice cream container, wrap with silk screen or similar screen, secure it at the top n bottom with hose clamps. wrap it tight for extracting kif only, or let screen sag, bellyout, or puffed out, to gather smokables, and leave sticks inside the container.
Then put the paddles in, fill with trim attach motor, lay the whole mixer on it's side plug it in. And wait for the kif top start gathering in the bucket.

I've just had to chop a couple of buds down as they were producing an odd male flower and causing some seeding. They are already covered in tricomes my question is instead of waiting a week for them to dry do you know a quick and easy way to make a little bit of kiff for a spliff or two whilst waiting.

A couple of methods are availble off the top of my old headbone.
1. put bud in an appropriate sized paper bag, put it in the micro wave set on high for 10 seconds, open the bag let it cool, repeat until dry as any other nug you might smoke.
2. BHO can have premo honey oil within 2 days.

Buff you realize you'll need to inspect that plant regularly till harvest, once it hermie's, it's most likely to happen again, if you have to be away from grow for a few days, harvest it now, although if you wish and have the space isolate the hermie let the male branches propagate, this I'm told makes feminised seed, since it's germinating itself. I'll let you know later as I have some vegging from my last grow.

I've just left the main cola (main stem) will be keeping a close eye on it. Trouble with the seeds would be they'd all have hermie tendencies. They would be alright for an outside grow if you wanted some nice bud but didn't mind a few seeds.

Tried the old microwave dry last night it was OK, but a waste really. This ICE is more of a Sativa high it certainly gets you thinking (no paranoia either). Just hope this seeding stops with the rest of the plants. I've only discovered one male flower but can't believe all the seeding came from just the one its a mystery.

MW method to me is only for emergencies, sorta like being down to stems 'n' seeds.
I read somewhere that one male flower can stick the whole room, I harvested about a week early last time because of that, there was at least 2 maturing seeds on every limb.

Wow I found only one male flower it has produced a lot of seeds. Choped a few of the branches of the offending plant just hope it dosn't happen again would be ashame to spoil such quality weed. Theres still 4 weeks of flowering left so hopefully that will be the last of the seeding. Setting up a new room though I suppose it is mainly about ironing out problems and getting your best plant cloned.

I have been reading up on making Hash. My only concern is the ratio of hash to original weight. If I got 1/16 from an ounce its not very economical. Any idea on what you could expect from an ounce?

This sounds like a good time to experiment, I've never weighed before....only after, I have some trim that needs processing maybe I'll do dat today!

But till then I'd guess maybe 1/4 gram, remember with dry sifting one only knocks the trics off the plant matter, the plant matter is mostly waste as far as getting high is concerned.

BHO in the same situation would yeild 1/2 gram or less, now before evrybody gets exercised I've extracted honey oil (alot of oil) from bubble hash Trash. http://www.hipforums.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif
