even more so than pyramid schemes but its a religion so there is little or no accountability...also no tax paying. and all you need is a few eccentric/borderline fucking stupid rich people to start buying into the bullshit to keep your religion going. plus, when your religious founder is dead he has no accountability and you can still use his likeness, name, and ideas to make even more fucking money...i was watching a documentary on L Ron Hubbard and this religion of his is soooo fucking...cha ching $$$...i almost wish i had thought of it...best scam ever...

They'd probably have to set up military style schools with archaic mind control programs also.

ive heard they do have secret centres in exotic locations for celebrity and elite scientologists....and a scientology boat that is sposed to be decked out to the max...
i think some aspects off scientology are interesting, but id never pay to learn about it. i have a fair amount of second hand info.

Here is my opinion. It is a man made religion made by men for me. They want ways too control and suppress ladies. Who ever heard of anything so ridiculous as telling a lady not to scream when she's in pain and giving birth? Let me kick you in the nuts and you be quite the whole time. Sounds like that Mormon thing where a lady's heaven is when she is pregnant thru out eternity. What drunken sailor thought up that one? I feel like it's a cult and I bet that it's hard to get your children out of it and away from the people that "watch you". It’s creepy.

the only difference between a religion and a cult is number of followers.
what exactly is scientology, anyways?
isnt that where they believe in evolution, big bang, atoms and quarks and string theory and all that?

When I heard that, I just couldn't believe how ridiculous of an expectation that was! Now, I wasn't a screamer by any means during my deliveries, but yes, I did cry, moan, and make noise. Because hey, it hurts like heck. If my husband told me that I wasn't allowed to make make any noise during a delivery, I'd tell him where to go. ;)

Except you have to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to figure that out
See? You got that information for free...
On second thought...
You all now owe me 300,000 dollars :)

watch the south park episode. download it off limewire since it got banned from TV. its funny as hell and they do say what scientoligists really believe. and i cant see how anyone can say that christianity, islam, or judaism is unbelivable compared to this. scientology was made up by a science fiction writer. who the hell would follow that?

at least the other religions say that god told them what happened. this just says the science fiction writer thought it up and it was true

Nuns. Nuns with rulers. And children with swollen knuckles. http://www.hipforums.com/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif Horror stories from my aunt just keep popping up in my brain...lol. Though I dunno...those damn scientologists may have rich nuns themselves. Crazy people. Not a scam, my friend, a cult.

There was a funny article in the newspaper today about Katie Holmes giving birth. Apparently scientology rules that during a child's birth, not one person, including the mother is permitted to say a word or moan. This includes "shhhhh". It has something to do with the child needing silence to develop properly during the early seconds of life.
At the end of the article the reporter suggested that Katie let out a big F*********K

I hate Tom Cruise with a passion (after that whole crock that post-partum depression is made up and depression's not a real medical condition). It almost makes me wish that Katie had a horrible birth and horrible post-partum depression, but I could never wish that upon her, she just married the asshole. Argh. I hate him so much. SO MUCH. *end venting*

Like the news report said, Katie should just yell her fucking lungs out!
Imagine having to have a kid without moaning, ghastly!
