It seems like this would be the best section for this thread, so here goes...

I have heard from 2 different sources that marijuana has properties that could actually reverse the negative affects of tobacco use on your lungs, effectively reversing cancer causing agents.

The reasoning behind this is that tobacco constricts the capilaries in the lungs, which is what often leads to cancer, while marijuana smoke actually opens these capilaries.

I am no scientist, and I have yet to see the research that has led to this conclusion, but if anyone has any information supporting or opposing this plea, or if you have simply heard similar (or opposing) information, please feel free to post information.

some of what you said is true. if you smoke cigarettes, it's better to ALSO smoke pot than to just smoke cigarettes alone. ganja is sort of a natural expectorant and helps free the lungs of the cancer-causing FREE RADICALS found in tobacco.

Yeah, that's true, but don't get to thinking that smoking pot will reverse all of the effects of tobbacco smoking.

vape would. normal smoke can a little, if the effects of the drug outweight that of the smoke

well:
tobbacco paralizes the cilia in the lungs and weed doesn't
tobbacco constricts airways weed opens them
tobbacco contains many known carnogens weed contains 1 (tar)
tobbacco doesn't clean up after it's self weed does
thc is shown to destroy cancer cells

now I'm sure weed doesn't cause cancer, but as to whether it can clean up after tobbacco I'm not sure

tar is not a carcinogen, the carcinogens they find in pot smoke are benzene-related chemicals

If you are concerned about lung health: 1)don't smoke tobacco. 2) eat brownies.
Smoke (from any source) is not good for the lungs.

Does anyone know how much more beneficial it is to smoke bongs/ water filters rather than just pipes and joints?
