I dig my finger nails on my left hand into the palm of my right hand when I'm really stressed out.
When I'm really pissed of frustrated I yell and bang on stuff.

Negative thoughts can be hard, a positive monologue can really help though.
I dont really pitty myself so i can't help you there and i wish i was a more angry person so i cant help you with that. but im good with guilt, i basically just tell myself i dont owe the world anything, even if it isn't true.

I try to just rationalize with myself about what I am thinking, try to tell myself how it really is versus how I am feeling.

aaha, new method I'm trying: For every negative thought, try to come up with at least two positive ones to compensate. Just gotta remind yourself, catch yourself after a negataive thought and creat esome positive ones for it

Well, the first thing I would do would be to try and identify the source of all those things. It's much easier said than done, though. Start with learning all you can about depression, because what you listed are the basic building blocks of it. There's a wealth of options available that can help. Exercise alone could turn around all of those thought process, a change in diet could as well. Increasing activities that you enjoy is also important, but sometimes a little harder to achieve for whatever practical reasons.

That article is a CBT approach to reducing stress, but many of those methods can be used for adjusting to most mental health matters.

I'm naturally pessimistic, but when it's getting out of control I tend to scratch my skin to kinda release frutration or play with my worry sheep beads.

Best thing to do is to just recognise that the feelings are there. Calm acceptance without trying to change it is the key to self knowledge and self acceptance. Positive and negative do not exist outside of our human perception, all just IS!
