Howdy and Blessings to any and All
- we again are open to visitation And sharing visions and open communication and fellowship with any that might feel so drawn
We try to do these gatherings around full moon on the weekend nearest the seasons changes ...- so this time we're looking at the weekend of June 10& 11 (we put aside times for this every solstice and equinox - but emphasize that spring and winter are times of near extreme hardship - I know - I live in the hollow).
We often have people come a day or 2 early and will be open and available for this time of fellowship throughout the week after the full moon
This is our first opening communication about this years solstice gathering - have heard some people mentioning planning on coming.... I never assume much of anything - enough of an ass without doing that LOL.
If you are thinking of coming please let us know ahead of time so that we can prepare in the case that we have more than a few heeding the call.
The call is to come and join with people of like mind in a hollow out of space and time, full of healing energy to revitalize and redefine your Being in a supportive environment.
We are near the interstate and at times that rumble can be distracting - but it also reminds us that we Are in and of this world.
We do need to remind people that this is a fairly isolated rustic setting - camping out in the woods with the friends of the wild.
Should someone be impaired physically we do have a couple of travel trailers - but again need to know to clean them out or repair them well before the time comes to use them.
We give directions and personal information needed by written request only (PMs or emails - addy at end of post) and do ask that any that would like to come communicate with us..... and because this is private land and made up of individuals who prize their simple peaceful existence here - we ask that only those willing to open their hearts to the Love we all wish to share come.
We generally do not do substance abuse and request that people respect the space we share - close to nature and in tune with the Higher Self - striving to open the more to Grow Beyond - become more Whole and Loving.

hey Love you all and as Kim will tell you my fangs have dulled down considerably with the passage of time - though I still do occasionally growl heheh.

Looking forward to the renewal time set aside and sharing with all that feel drawn. The hollow welcomes all in healing and love and will help you See deeper into your Higher Self - the energy was there before we came and will be after we are gone - we but try to resonate in harmony and reverendly respect what is offered.

Blessings be to all along their Way

I can't tell you what a dynamic experience we had last summer:) It's definately worth the beautiful drive!

Yesterday and invitation came in the mail from Rich's cousin...and guess what day the wedding is...:( the nineth of june.

We'll see if Rich wants us to go with or if he wants to fly solo. I really don't feel comfortable sending him out there by himself though, his family always tears him up. So this may not be my year, or I might have to shoot for the fall one instead.

Hee I could'nt tell if it was your teeth that had dulled or my hide that was thick:p

Much Love, it will be a wonderful gathering either way:)

The timing is not written in stone and if enough wish it changed I personally have no problem withit - just like energy of the full moon for gathering and the night light left onhttp://www.hipforums.com/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif for camping out and moving about in the woods at night.

Fall is a really beautiful time up here

Thank you HHB and Dili - soon as I get to the point that i can take off without jeapardizing things , travel is on the agenda and would love to stop in for a bit - learned to play it as it shows itself though - so who knows what will be.

Blessings

Mmmmmhhmm:) I'd love to be in the mountains this fall...mebbe we can get Gil up then too, although he was taalking about more of a carolinas trip for his vacation alotment. Hee can we persuade him?:X that would rock!

I could probably just catch the ass end of the moon this summer...heee we are driving so mebbe, just mebbe Rich could be persuaded to swing by on the way back and see the falls while we are at it!!

We'll see ;) *plans and schemes* (not really, I'll just ask him)

It's a a shame y'all can't travel up HHB, but I hope it is y'all who finaly get oldwolf down off that mountain. (and I hope he stops by on his way down for a peek at the atlantic)

O I really hope you all can make it - too seldom can those we know are of like mind find ways to break from their own doing to share in these gatherings.

I had not thought about school - and I feel it is really important that Sylvie and Arrianna get to come ..... and of course I am ASSuming that you are coming too Marie if Andrew comes. Let me know if we need to change the timing.

Kitty et al (latin for and the others of her group) are striving to find a time to visit - hope this is a good time for it.

And I hope that the scholar warrior finds a way to break from the monetary shackles and has the desire to come as well.

Be nice if the mid states contingent (Kim, Greg) can make it too and bring along their compatriots (family).

And Lionheart and Mama Moon ..... sometime dear friends.

We would love to share space and commune across the warm campfire of fellowship.

All in it's own time - if it is meant to be and we desire it enough and focus consistently and make what changes we need to make to manifest - It Will be done .

The Blessing has been in the sharing and our thanks go out to All of you

unless something unforeseen comes about, andrew and i will be there. we will be coming childless though....we would like to have some adult time....and it will still be spring then so we are going to make like bunnies, and enjoy your woods;) hehe. j/k.

but we have set our intention on it. that is the weekend arianna is with her father...and sylvi should be with her mother. i feel he and i will need to have some andy and marie time by then.

aw i was looking forward to making like bunnies,
and will enjoy embracing the woods of the hollow,
by moon and firelight. would it too warm for a sweatlodge? ;)

oldwolf
04-01-2006, 01:51 PM
would love to put together a sweat lodge with you
Have done sweats myself but both Moving cloud and aireal have problems with heat so they will probably not be able to join us.
Will put aside appropriate rocks to air out away from water or rain.. Plenty of willow saplings - covering ? - always the one that keeps me from doing it- have tarps and construction plastic and old rugs and plent of pine boughs that need cutting around the building site (prep work).... - just can't stand the plastic or dust or mildew smell - - sure we'll come up with something - never built a sweat yet, but thought of doing so many times.
Temperatures can vary greatly and make sure you have some sort of bug repellant - no seeums time (may flies) along with the start of horse fly (biters) and mosquitoes will be present - O what fun - if it's sweaty bring a hat for the horse flies - they love to get tangled in your hair and are attracted to sweat.
Sometimes the mud season goes on all year - last year was the first dry year of the last 4 - so maybe this one will be not quite so wet. If you do not have a good tent - we have one you can borrow.

Looking forward to sitting together round the warm fire of fellowship.

Blessings to you

I've never done or built one, but have always been intrigued.
I felt it would be a good chance to 'just be' in the silences together or feel a song rise up from your center. I smelled a bit of burning sage clearing any anxiety; whatever is in the spirit of fellowship, love and effortless, will manifest... i certainly don't want to ask for willow branches or land clearing unless for a sacred cause. I think Marie would enjoy trying out a sweat, but certainly would want to be free to leave if it was too hot, i feel the same, not really wanting austerity... just sacred moments together. Being the beginning of Summer, i'm sure sitting around a campfire would bring all the warmth needed. Just a seed, since it had been discussed... definitely do want to, at the right time when it fosters a since of community. I'll so enjoy helping, and will certainly pitch in with assisting with whatever needs to be done. We have a couple tents, and i should have a camping grill very soon... how does the food situation work, are coolers needed or is there refrigeration available?

* reconsiders being naked out in the woods, with horseflies abounding * :)

Bright Blessings & Dark Gifts of silence and presence to you.

Hi Folks,
I haven't been getting any updates...except this one today. I sure hope you all can get together. The insects sound-well-like talking to them may not work as well-especially if they are in swarms-talking to an individual hornet, bee or wasp, ants or spiders is a different activity for sure. No-Seeums--I just experienced them for the first time last summer...and black flies is one of the things that made me exit Maine. What do I use to repel them? My feet--I leave them to do their thing. I've tried everything organic I could think of..even flute music..nope--nothing works for me. In Maine though I did try one of those Net Hats--alien looking cover--the black flies still found a way in and under them...tenacious winged ones.
Why am I talking about this? I'm trying to wake up from an interesting night of dreaming and deep sleep. I don't know--just really wanted to say Hi and re-connect.
I believe we (tribal members from our 60s & Beyond Yahoo group) may start a "Hippie Old Folks Home" here in Arizona--a self-supporting intentional-on purpose--place where old hippies can come and rest and have FUN! and enjoy the high desert weather--you know--go barefoot year round..and just do their thing. Also a place where any hippies or free spirits can come to wash the dust from their backpacks or vehicles, RV's, and help with the gardens and whatever manifests --as a low maintenance-self sustaining-place to write, paint, draw, dance, sing, teach, counsel, mentor (an elder community of 60s survivors-LOL)..no intensive anything..a sanctuary--a haven for like-minded-Hippie Hearted beings to share energy and stories and share deep drinks of cool water.
It's only in a formative phase 1 place--1st manifestation should take place around next August.

We use Willows out here for sweat lodges..lots of rugs or brown tarps..large enough for 12-15 beings. You can usually put one up in an hour or 2. Native American rules of engagement, fire pit placements, the direction the doorway needs to point toward..no women having their moon-time---are fine for Native Americans, but us hippies prefer to channel our own methods of empowering the lodge through group intuition and intention...for example I have been to sweats where women on their moon-time was allowed even necessary..also chicks that are pregnant is especially powerful. We also have women sweats where only lavender and sweetgrass are used and not so intensely hot...male sweats are usually reserved for hot intense heat, sage (white), copal, dragons blood resin and so forth. And then the group lodges fall somewhere in between with male and female fire tenders taking turns...as gatekeepers and facilitators. The very best lodges are always built very near a stream or body of water where you can dip in and cleanse and even return to the lodge for prayers and invocations--silence or singing. Native Americans won't allow anyone to leave until the first round of prayers has been conducted--breaking the circle type of austerity...again--it's difficult for hippies to follow rules. LOL!

In the meantime though we are just putting out the Peace vibe and the Healing touch...no fatalism over here about the ruin of civilization as we know it..just a lot of good music and spicey food, incense and well--yes some peppermints too....The final Knowingness is all about Love, Loving and being Loved..anything other than this is just 'grist for the mill.' Right?
So-okay--hi everyone...Be At Peace...

More power to you old man - hheheh no offense intended - I get my shit together and am able to follow the game plan and pass this land on to people who can intertwine their spirits with their visions and the land - I guarantee I shall at least stop in there and maybe more too, you get more into the mountains and out of the canyon - or at least on the top part - been through Sedona and though it was georgeous (a the puns) it was too closed in for me - and though I seldom disparage new agers considering myself near kin - the trade of money to spirit was too obviously apparent for me to feel connected to much of the energies there. -... be wonderful if we can find some good water flow and a hefty drop to make our own power plus some as energy to run it on.

there with you brother in spirit and intent and perhaps down the road not too far in the flesh as well. Still feel the need to travel - a lot of pent up Intent on them back burners coming home to roost and starting to kick my butt and tell me times a wastin.

Go for it - O and I heared about Maine and N.B. squitoes and no-seeums, they be a much more voracious variety than we got down here. So much depends upon the weather, wetness, and year before (eggs) as to just how bad they can be - some years they are truly not too noticable here.

As time goes on and we get no comers on community here I tend to go a bit quieter and rely more on spirit for the timing and the Way. Have to be able to hear... y'know... not meant as anything personal, nor is it a retreating from socializing - always been more shy on that than most. Coming more into a wonderful acceptance and open handed flow... as i said just gotta really extend them anttennae to hear the still voice of Spirit gently a tellin us the Way the flow goes.

Much love to you - and damn iffn we don't get together some time - what a goddamn shame.

Blessings along your Way.

Hey Oldwolf...

The Word
by The Moody Blues
(In Search Of The Lost Chord)

This garden universe vibrates complete.
Some we get a sound so sweet.
Vibrations reach on up to become light,
And then thru gamma, out of sight.
Between the eyes and ears there lay,
The sounds of colour and the light of a sigh.
And to hear the sun, what a thing to believe.
But it's all around if we could but perceive.
To know ultra-violet, infra-red and X-rays,
Beauty to find in so many ways.
Two notes of the chord, that's our fluoroscope.
But to reach the chord is our lifes hope.
And to name the chord is important to some.
So they give a word, and the word is OM.

Peace Brother
The answers are closer than you now know..

Well potentials are starting to aligne and it looks like we may be able to swing by Tuesday the 13th, it will propably just be me and the girls but we will see if Rich can be cajoled into riding back from North Dakota with us (he's gonna fly out to save time, us girls like to meander;) ) I think the trip would be really good for him after seeing his family.

Hopefully there will still be some solstice scragglers then, and if not then the visit and having you guys all to myself will still be wonderful!

Off to do bills and play with money :)

He might change his mind again though, this last week he has been really stressed trying to get his guys set up for a week with out him and did'nt have much mental space for anything else, he was almost ready to cancell this trip, but he really needs it to go and find his happy place.

I am just going to get wood burning so I can have my gas money and not have to worry about it. It'd be really nice to be able to go up to Nelson ledges too...*dreams*

Guess it's back to more waiting and seeing.

Hey Oldwolf and Tribe,

Just around the eternal corner again..another gathering.

Again--I send my spirit and prayers to you--you will know I am there. Look deeply into the forest or by the pond...look into your hearts. Nataraj will be there also.

Peace, Love and Tofu Pups
LionHeart

Nataraj is shown with four hands represent the four cardinal directions. He is dancing, with his left foot elegantly raised and the right foot on a prostrate figure — 'Apasmara Purusha', the personification of illusion and ignorance over whom Shiva triumphs. The upper left hand holds a flame, the lower left hand points down to the dwarf, who is shown holding a cobra. The upper right hand holds an hourglass drum or dumroo that stands for the male-female vital principle, the lower shows the gesture of assertion: "Be without fear." Snakes that stand for egotism, are seen uncoiling from his arms, legs, and hair, which is braided and bejewelled. His matted locks are whirling as he dances within an arch of flames representing the endless cycle of birth and death. On his head is a skull, which symbolises his conquest over death. Goddess Ganga, the epitome of the holy river Ganges, also sits on his hairdo. His third eye is symbolic of his omniscience, insight, and enlightenment. The whole idol rests on a lotus pedestal, the symbol of the creative forces of the universe.

whelp - fire pit started, sweatlodge stones gathered and top of hill site picked - we'll leave the down by pond site for more individuals to participate in the choosing (yah - i live on top of the hill - could never stand being down at the bottom of the hollow - and as an added bonus the online connection is much better up here). Moving cloud came in this new moon and is helping the forward momentum.
We all work together to get things done and each is valued highly - we would not be the same without each of our strengths - and our weaknesses constantly challenge us to grow Beyond and make them our strengths as well.
Don't often put anything out into the public forums - put an invite in the communal forum - and surprise - not 1 response -
well on we go - may we all Be whole
Loving each and every one of you
Blessings

Public Forums?
This is a public forum right? You got me! But I can't come, sorry! I could sure use a sweat though!! Many sweats..with such industrious hippies at the Lakes Region that look like Fingers!!
I'll try to create a CD for ya for the Solstice..it's going to be a very strong and potentially healing thyme..for those who open to receive!!
Its 92 today and not a hollow one, for shade..how about an arroyo? We have lots of those--great places to explore for crystals and fossils.

let me offer a short comeback to that one lionheart - yah it is public but it is also personal - and I can and do move or delete posts so as to keep it in the vein I have worked to bring it to - not to say I do this often - found that when skip archived (which he has not done for well over a year now) was a perfect time to resubmit posts and the threads I wanted to keep present in the minds eye with people always able to go to the archive to get the flavor of all the old post and those not brought forward.
As such it is mine and not public - the public can post but I can delete - again let me emphasize that I do not think I have ever deleted post except through attrition when archiving goes on and I must re-submit what I want brought forward to the then empty slate but I have put together as in Sebbi's post many threads under 1.
So I keep the wholeness of the flavor but do take responsibility as to that underlying meaning for me of having my own personal forum. without taking that responsibility - why have a personal forum in the first place - sooo I weed my garden.

much love brother

Lionheart2000

Hey Man,
Did I ask about any of that? Hummm..guess I did. I really trust that what you do is probably just fine with the Universe..resubmit--totally submit..remit..commit...is all fine with me just so I get the news from the Wayfarer on my puter and in my life.
When you write about what you are doing to prepare--I always see all of you in my minds eye. I know that whatever happens and for what reasons and under what skies and in what moods and flavors and fragrances..things happen or don't happen, is usually the "Will of the Universe" ..the Unknown Force that turns our desires and dreams into manifestations..the Unseeable that permits astral and causal traveling also permits gravity to dictate the placement of people and things...of which we have minimal control.
I have at least 3 people a week now writing me about where there is a commune they could join?
What should I tell them, where shall I point them?..to the Intentional Communities site?
As many people as there are on the internet--surely a Solstice should never be without interested souls seeking warmth and conversation--perhaps even final destinations or even initiation.
I am there--here..
Be Joyful Brother

In order to expedite our own shedulings please confirm any new updates as to plans for attending.

Just gotta love those ifs - so it's now iffy for greg and kim ? - and I'm not trying to be snide or anything just trying to plan ahead and Know what to plan on.
The hollow is open to you, with 2 travel trailers including aireal's trailer Kitty stayed at last time, if needed - can't answer myself about the village house, you'll have to ask aireal, as it is her personal space. Have extra tents too if needed.
Hope to see you both soon

I'll get up with aireal then, atleast by the end of this week. We don't require anything special and can sleep anywhere, though as my kids are not wilderness trained, camping outside the house might be more our speed.

Since we'd have to leave after school on friday, we might just end up getting a room with a pool somewhere along the way and plan on showing up Saturday morning.

We'll just blend in with your plans for MAndy. Can we do a hike to the waterfall we saw pictures of last time??!

What ever works best for you, and your daughters. I am here to help. I have this new tent I have been wanting to set up. The village would frown on an open fire though. Got a coleman lantern up in the woods, can not wait to see how that lights up the dark. There are plenty of sleeping bags as well.

My nook in the woods has the indoor option as well. Did some work on my fire pit. Came out a little larger but speaks of wonder, and openness to me.

Any special foods I can get ahead of time let me know as well.

Could'nt convince the girls that going up and running around the hollow would be more fun than going to their friends pool parties, though I have been trying and offering bribes;) and the idea of just taking them up anyway does'nt appeal to me at all.

There is always the next go around I suppose. I know you all with have a wonderful time together and it will just be that much sweeter when we can all be there together. I really think Rich should come with me too, and that is going to take some convincing:p and scheduling so I'll start now:)
