Ime sure next to nobody on this forum is into black metal....I am a big fan of the European bands in the circle, but basically a thread on the hipforums music forums made me get out my Burzum albums and reminded me of this great song....
BLack metal (as some may know) is music made mostly in places such as Norway/Sweden and is basically musac reflecting the bands anger relating to their countries history....long story...but basically all black metal bands are in this one "black metal circle".
The albums by the artist Burzum are all made in the cell of the guy (Varg Vikernes). This is the abd side i guess...the guiy is in prison for stabbing and killing the lead singer form a black metal act named Mayhem (a lot of tention arrose between Varg's old band and Mayhem)....Varg really regrets killing the guy now (Euronymous) of course, and Varg had always been known as being quite relaxed as far as arguments etc go, but this Euronymous guy was completely on his case.
Basically I came across a very good piece of music on my favourite Burzum album (Filosofem) which is called *puts on accent* "Rundgang um die transzendentale Säule der Singularität"...
It is a rather long song (as are many Burzum songs) and is certainly NOT your usual black metal fast powerered drumming and heavy guitar riffs and the screaming etc...for one their arent any vocals (which let it down because his accent is amazing when he sings English)
It is very atmospheric and kind of haunting...if you can find it on one of the many music download sites then please give it a listen, but stay away form burzums other material if you arent into heavy/Black metalhttp://www.hipforums.com/forums/images/icons/icon10.gif
