tripping with friends or alone?

Which do you prefer??

Personally, I like tripping with one or two friends that I can share the experience with. Although, Every once and awhile I do enjoy some introspective meditation. They're both completely different worlds.

If I take a substance I´ve already explored very well, I prefer to do it with others (who also know that stuff). I also often trip together with my wife, this brings good conversation and excellent sex.

But if I do a substance I haven´t done before or a higher dose than usual, I prefer to do it alone with a sober sitter.

But I Prefer To Do Mushrooms With My Girl, My Cousin And A Few People I Know Because I Think Sharing The Experience With Someone Close Is So Much Better, Because The Ugly Side Of Life Is Great To Make Fun Of. Im Sorta Done With Acid For A Few Years, I Dont Get Much Out Of It Anymore Besides Feeling Godlike And I Become Sort Of Mean Like When I Drink Too Much Alcohol. Wasnt Always Like That, Dont Know What Happened. But Shrooms Always Kick My Ass Into Submission And Bring Me To The Same Level Everyone Else Is On

Alone, usually. Most of my friends are idiots and just like to screw with my head. They're immature and stupid a lot of the time; I really haven't found anyone who shares my try-as-hard-as-possible-to-be-responsible attitude. They just like the fun drugs offer.

I love trippin with my friends, basically because i love being with my friends. i do enjoy trippin alone too tho because you really get to know yourself. you can think alot when your with friends too, you dont have to talk all the time or you can go for alittle walk to be by yourself. i dont like trippin with friends who arnt trippin tho they just have totally different thoughts you know

It's awesome, my first trip was on an 8th of shrooms by myself when i was 15. I ended up lying in bed and I completley lost my mind! but, it was worth it for the memories.

different kinds of feelings. depends on the drug taken, where you are, your trail of thought, etc. i find with drugs and tripping the thing is not to force them, but let them take you. and when i'm alone and drugs take me on a spiritual journey, i have to say it beats buzzing with mates for the feeling of that moment.
but it's at the completely different end of the scale.

What? I love being around drunks, were all equal right? ;) I dont think anyone would cause me to freak out, unless they put a gun to my face, and even then, if I was tripping hard enough I would laugh.

On a slightly pertinent note, I generally keep gin on hand while tripping to remove any edges that might show up. I also recall a very successful mushroom experience with xanax to make a less controlled trip environment rather fun and worry free.

Yea, it was great lol for me at least. My girlfriend however, had the worst trip of her life. But after a few hours of back massaging and comforting, she passed out and I was still tripping hard, went outside as the sun was rising and my friend from Taiwan was just sitting there with this huge smile on his face. Man that was just one of those memories I will have for a long time.

your surroundings majorly affect your trip..and the whole fukn experience to b honest. i say its good to do it with a few friends, and not be around a massive group..at least in my opinion i find it to be overbearing at times because too much commotion is going on,can b overbearing. ummm....i like tripping alone only for reflection/creative motivation.

depends on the dose. a normal dose is better among friends. for heavy tripping I like to withdraw for much of the trip. smaller doses can be enjoyed anywhere.

i agree i hate salvia unless im by myslef and in a dark room, of course i usually smoke 20x, so it can become scary sometimes. Being by myself allows me to relax and enjoy my experience.
but with other things like acid or mushrooms, i like to be with people. But it of course everything depends on the environment and the people im with.

Last night I tripped alone for the first time. 4.0g of cubensis (gold caps). I have plenty of experiance tripping so i wasn't too conserned. I knew i had the house to myself and i closed the curtains as too let any one know that even i wasn't there (people often stop by my flat for a chat/drink/whatever. I turned off all communication (cell phone, skype).

I drank in in a warm milk tea, said a brief pryer (something along the lines of: I am here to experiance all that is to be offered, i search only for that which is to be recived, i am a loving creature...)

The mushrooms hit HARD and i spend about 30 minutes after injestion becoming sedated and going through the normal questions (why did i take it? is this a good place? an i alone...?). The next hour a layed on my porch listening to some instrumental music from my youth, eyes closed with powerful closed eye visuals. I was DEEP in it, tripping... I open my eyes on occasion to look at the sky, i concentrated on the freedom of imagination while the clouds became laughable in their various shapes and formations (now becoming beautiful women, wise old men, and strange charators all together. I was jolted up by the NEED to pee!

Upon standing i looked down and saw swarms of bugs! catapillers, centapeds, ants!!!! all over where i had layed hahahahaha. my vision was that of a kalidascope, see every bug mutliplied by the dozens. Yeah, i freaked a little... but that is where i knew to change my surroundings and escape. I peed and went back outside to check it out because i wan't a second look at the frightening scene. Yes the bugs were still there, they were real the entire time (even the one the went up my shirt!).

I stumbled through my house a bit feeling insane and a bit goblin like then hurried upstairs. I listened to the entire "One" Beatles mix album while laying on my rooms floor. All was enjoyable, I reached out to my family (my mom and let her know i was ok), I realized my foolishness in waking life (too fucking lazy!), and i reconnected with my laugh and smile. I meditated over a stick of insance, and was visited by the tempations in my life. I spend most of the time with partial tears in my eyes.

Once the album was over I watched Pinnocio and literally became the child i once was. Waiting in anticipation for the film to begin and giggling at the funny Jimminy Cricket. When the film was over i was out of the trip and i stayed up tossing and turning a bit while i waited for sleep.

Tripping alone is NOT for the first timmer, but it can be very rewarded for those who are willing and curious. Go for it. You'll have no support system and free space to trip on. good luck and best wishes. j

yeah i have only tripped on shrooms twice, the first time a light dose and was alone so it was nice but hard to tell sense it was my first time. The 2nd time i ate a moderate dose of shrooms and was with 2 friends in my friends basement, well anyways to make a long story short I started tripping HARD and started to have an axiety attack or something? and i tried to leave and my friends stopped me at first but there was no stopping it i had to get in my car and "JUST GET HOME AND INTO MY ROOM" lol so i ended up telling my two friends i was just going to my car to snort a 40mg Oxy pill to "try to calm down" and ran to my car jumped in snorted the oxy and took off for home (which was like a good 25mins drive!) lol it was the WORST drive of my life, the horizon of the mountains was waving and my car felt like i was driving a big boat or something..anyways i got home and into my room (THANK GOD!) and i actually started to enjoy the trip and enjoyed the rest of my night ending it with 20mgs methadone orally at the end of the trip....if i EVER trip again on shrooms or anything for that matter i def. will be at home alone or just with one good friend but i think its all about the place/setting cuz once i got home i was totally fine, no anixety or anything just fun-tripping~
