I didn't find many posts about it tho...

Guess not too many hippies livin' there. At least not when I lived there! Although they sure showed up when the Dead arrived to play at the Silver bowl.

I know Im not the only Alabama person registered and posting, any chance of getting it added? I do kinda wish it was regional as opposed to state by state, Im gonna end up shuffling thru more forums and posting in them less.

Still, its always cool to see a new addition to the hip forums. Well done Skip, and thanks!

california, northern california is the one i'm living in, if not otherwise having indicated this in my profile is why i'm not finding it.

other states i've lived in and considered my home when i did were oregon and nevada.

i've also lived in washington state and briefly in texas, utah, and new york where i was born, but never really remained in either of these long enough to consider them home as i do with california, nevada, and oregon.

ok; never mind. i DID finnaly find it. never occured to me to look under travel till i'd exausted every other possibility i could think of.

I was wondering why North Carolina and South Carolina are put together.

I have a second home in North Carolina, and they are two very different states, no relation to each other in any way (except in name). In fact no one from North Carolina ever wants to be mistakenly referred to as being from South Carolina (as happens sometimes, and vice versa, because sometimes people from other parts of the country think there's no difference).

I've been a member here for 6 years or so. Just since Skip gave us forums for each state, I've found I'm no longer alone in Nevada. Only one problem that isn't a BIG one, there seems to be no Utah forum. But, it's cool they can share with nevada After all. St. George, Salt Lake, and Cedar City are all pretty close by.

Although they sure showed up when the Dead arrived to play at the Silver bowl. ..lol, no kiddin i lived in vegas from 89-95. 3 days before the concert an a few after it wasnt hard to find a 100 or so hippies in the fountains at ceaser's "bathing".
