I posted this a while back in the wrong forum... I've been trying to push myself to write more, even if it is only a few lines. I'm not sure what type of writing you would classify this as (prose poetry), but I wanted to experiment with expressing emotions during thought. I don't know if this would qualify as poetry to some of you, but that's what it is to me.
I scream as it arrives before me. A thousand daggers of unforgiveness enter my heart at once. The vision lights my very essence ablaze. I lash at the image with a terrible rage. Never again shall it reside here! I watch as a crimson fountain flows from the great slain effigy. Blood drips quietly onto the frost covered ground. A new sun rises behind the towering dark mountains. Rows of wheat shift gently as the wind whispers timelessly.
