View Full Version : the eden in any day

the eden in any day evaporates,
it's thin contrails stalk the treetops
as summer brings sunroof air
and dragonflies helicopter.

I amble down a pine straw trail
cutting corridor through the tangled wood,
with forest chatter in sound tracked swarm
balanced within worldly aura.

perfection may be as momentary
as the air between beating wings,
but when quiet comes, the moon
will warden with opaline eye
and I'll pull the cork, we'll drink
below the dotted diamond dye.

The fleeting, the transitory, is ever the eternal.

So often we must divide in order that we may rejoice in uniting.

Wow, simply fantastic, the third stanza is such a full crystalline cup.

Masterful poem here fulmah! Perfection may be momentary, but you definitely captured some of it with this one :)
