I dont mean anything by it if anyone in here are vegans or anything. But this is just a random thought.
I really like catfish. They are my favorite meat group.
Also I would like to have some pet catfish... I mean look at them!

a long time ago, when i lived on top of a mountain, there was a lake where the catfish were tame like pets. you could put your hand in the water and they'd come up and rub against it. this was before anybody fished in it because everybody thought it was kind of half way sacred because these fish were so bizaarly tame.
if i remember right, it was one of a pair of lakes called ice lakes. it was on one of what were then back roads near the summit. it wasn't a very big lake so there couldn't have been very many fish in it. maybe just this one.
i wonder if i should have asked it to grant me three wishes.

or worked in ANY sort of food proccessing industry?
pigs get fed slops, cattle feed contains ground up bits of other cattle, and vegitables? do you know what fertilizer is?

lol, I cook roughly 20-25 pounds of catfish fillets each week (and other things)- They are mystical to me, always have been. They are curious natural survivors- yet they can be caught easily. Freshwater catfish are delicious lots of different ways and distinctly different flesh from any other type of fish, except for their salt water cousins- which, are inedible- I'll save you the trouble. Cleaning them is another distinctly engaging aspect of the world of catfish. I caught them as a youngster and kept them as pets for periods of time. I have dredged up hundreds of small six inch black fingerlings in a seine. I have caught many on hook and line and I really like all the varying species and colors. Lots of long summer nights I have passed, baiting a trotline or bush lines and returned, always intrigued by catching them- requires a totally different area of fishing savvy. They are wondrous creatures- nice to bump into some people who have treated them respectfully here in this forum- fellow catfish enthusiasts! Thanks, y'all

I don't think I've ever eaten catfish.. I do really like fish to eat, though I never eat meat.
