I can only take partial credit for this- the Chemist gets the rest-, but forget what you know about making mushroom tea.
This method hydrolizes a considerable amount of the psilocybin into psilocin- the result is that you get off FAST- 10 to 15 mins. No shit.

It also renders the psilocybin highly soluble in the water, and an obviously high rate of extraction and concentration is achieved.

For every 1 oz fresh (3+ grams dry) prepare 3-5 oz distilled water by mixing 1 cup white distilled vinegar in a gallon of boiling DH20. The smaller the amount of mushrooms used, the greater the amount of H2O needed per unit, and consequently, the weaker the tea.

Now, in another pot place the shrooms in and pour in the appropriate amount of H2O.

Example:
10 oz fresh shrooms in 25 oz prepared H2O.
Steep, DO NOT BOIL! If you have a thermometor, keep it below 200 F (170 is theoretically right, but that will take many hours, so we must accept some loss in exchange for time) for 40 minutes, stiring and squishing frequently.

Drain through a colander, NO COFFEE FILTER, squeeze out the filtrate, and then wash it with 15 oz prepared H2O and collect the liquid in another pot. Squeeze the filtrate into the pot and then throw it in the pot.
Bring rapidly to a slow boil, and then turn down heat for 10 min.
Drain and Squeeze.
Wash with 10 oz prepard H2O, draining into pot, and squeeze. It should be a clear brow instead of purple tinted.
Mix all the liquid.

Now you have 50 oz of largely psilocin tea- quicker and slightly stronger than psilocibin tea.

Dose:
10 oz fresh shrooms is 280 gr dry. It's easier to use dry grams for dose. A door way dose is 4.5 gr, a hard tripping does 6 gr. They are in 50 oz tea.

50/280 = about 1-3/4 gr per oz. Allowing for 40% loss (a high estimate), that's more than 1 gr per oz of extra charged tea.

MINIMUMS:
5 oz= real trip
7 oz= hard trip

Don't do more unless you're very experienced.

I did a calculated 15 gr (the text book max) and ate 8 0z of chocholate on the 4th and had by far the most intense shroom trip I ever had. It was past the level of half a gram of mescaline, a reminded me of the STP I was sorry I did once.

regular mushroom tea is far easier to make and the onset is mostly dependant (in my experience) on stomach content, time it took to consume the tea, and what other drugs you're on (i find smoking grass speeds up the onset)

although i have heard vinegar and water is the best thing to use to extract alkaloids from shrooms......

the procedure you gave was slightly wordy though. think you could put it in layman's terms? i think i get the jist and could do it if i bothered to re-read it as i went along word by word, but i dont think everyone here could. i know its tough for me anyway...but then my mind has been somewhat dulled lately in comparison to normal.

that sounds like a recipe for amazement (poor word choice - sorry). i never did get the particulars down about how to make tea properly. this recipe will greatly help me and many others make psychedelic brew. i like the conversion to psilocin too. also, i don't think it reads too complicated. i can't wait to try it out some day! thanks K.

To put it simply:

Add white vinegar to distilled water, do not boil the shrooms, just keep hot for 40 mins. Use about 2 -3 oz of water for every 1 oz mushrooms, filter with colander(NO coffee filter), boil mushroom goo in more vinegar-waterturn down immediately. Strain.

Divide the amount of mushrooms by the amount of water and subtract 25% for grams of dry shrooms per oz of water.

But follow the complete directions carefully. you'll be shocked.

What's in you stomach won't matter. 15 mins.

Thanks for the info Geckopelli, hopefully I will have shrooms this friday, so I'll give it a shot. I'll let you know how it turns out.
