When I am with my girlfriend and we are just messing, kissing etc even though my penis is not erect I have a clear discharge. Is this precum? Does ones penis have to be very hard in order to produce precum or can precum be produced when one is sexually aroused?

For me, I don't have to be that hard for the precum to start flowing out of me. When I used to make out with my ex, my pants would be soaked with it. Sometimes she'd pull my pants down and rub me 'tll I ejaculated so I wouldn't be so wet all the time. I think it's perfecly normal.

Precum can flow without a hard erection. It's simply a result of arousal.

it's not necessarily due to just arousal, precum can happen any time arousal or not it's perfectly normal.
