David Wilkerson has very good anticipated this matter, in other words the development, also in his well-known book "Näky (The Vision)", which appeared in the beginning of the1970’s. He noted already then, that to the world would come a moral collapse, when Satan would try to deceive people and to tempt them. It would be very difficult for people to resist this development and to stay out of it:

you still seem to think in the old-fashioned western idea of to opposites being either good or bad. i don't, the pendulum will indeed move towards another direction, not necessarily a better one. just another one with differen features and each individual decides for himself which features they like and which they don't
