A Road Less Traveled

I am lost with my life unfurled beneath me.
At my own discretion I believe,
The long and winding road of wildcards.
Twists and bends.
Waiting in the dark like a viper.
Ready to strike and seep its teeth into my flesh.

I can wander without the fear of death.
Do not dread the end for it is the beginning of painless nothing.
We feel the same blackness of before existence.
With eyes shut.
Stroll along the sidewalks of unknown perception.
Devious minds tempt me into ascendance.
But the emancipation of oneself accelerates you.

Awaken to the silent sound of dawn.
And let no concern beset you.
Don’t brood about the past nor the future.
Exist in the time you’re in.
A folly flows away with fading tide.
And bides the time to move on.

Shake away the golden dreams.
Let the gleaming light shine through the open seam.
A ripple of unsure memories tapers with your disintegrating entity.
A sudden manipulation of matter through relevant time.
Obliteration of false pretense and ego.
And be aware the locked minds fall short of paradise.
Not knowing isolation.
Not knowing Seclusion.
Not knowing solitude.
Just walking the plain intoxicated by the fumes of growing lies.

Expand beyond,
the river of not,
on the bridge of equality
into Infinity.

Another powerful and graceful poem,
well done, once again.
